I worked as a legal intern for Human Rights USA and I can't say enough about how wonderful this organization is. Their cause-- expanding domestic human rights protection to comply with international law-- has the potential to impact large groups of people, and it works! During my time there, I met with grateful clients, survivors of horrific experiences including torture and human trafficking, and was thrilled that we could hold their abusers accountable. Throughout the summer past clients even stopped by to say thanks. The dedicated staff work very hard to make sure that their cases have a positive impact, not just on clients, but on American society as a whole. By holding human rights abusers accountable for their actions, Human Rights USA prevents future abuses.

I'm currently interning with the World Organization for Human Rights USA, and I can honestly say that working here has far surpassed my expectations. My family and I donated to Human Rights USA because we truly believe in the power of the work they are doing, and know that our donation can make a difference. Not only have they provided me personally with the tools to make an impact in human rights law in the future, but they have also showed me that one individual CAN make a difference. I feel more empowered than ever to continue my schooling in government and pursue a law degree in the future so that I can work towards continuing the sorts of goals that Human Rights USA advocates for every day.
