Causes: Job Training, Vocational Rehabilitation
Mission: Work plus, incorporated is dedicated to providing employment and support services to adults with disabilities in the community.
Programs: In 2017 work plus provided services to 95 individuals, of which 8 were youth participating in new training programs, and 69 adults were employed at minimum wage or higher. Collectively we worked with over 60 different employers/businesses in the community and provided over 35,000 hours of support. Wages earned were spent in the communities in which the individuals lived. Services included but were not limited to job development, job coaching, case management, supported living, and daily living skills training. We continue to be dedicated to helping individuals return to work and become contributing members of their communities. Individuals supported by work plus also volunteered their time with eleven agencies in the dane county area, again contributing back to their local community. Our organization recognizes and respects an individual's right to make choices. We are committed to the development and provision of services that meet the cognitive, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of the individuals we serve. Work plus is a community-based organization. Our most significant activity is assisting individuals with disabilities in securing competitive paid employment with community based employers, and being contributing members of their communities.
