Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: The mission is to build north dakota's economic future by fostering an entrepreneurial environment through innovation, technology, training, leadership and business development.
Programs: Providing technical and educational services to the adult population of the state of north dakota through seminars and workshops throughout the state. Women's business center: we provide one on one business counseling services to approximately 70 clients per year. Our purpose is to help them grow so in turn, we grow the north dakota economy. We provide training for approximately 2500 people per year across nd and received the national women's business center of excellence award through the us sba in 2016.
idea center program is an incubator for developing entrepreneurial activity that provides ongoing technical assistance to approximately 35 clients through the innovate nd program. We provide a 1 to 21 ratio of business technical assistance to approximately 50 additional clients. We collaborate with partners on focused efforts for building stronger entrepreneurial ecosystems in communities through events like 1 million cups, start up weekend and tedx events.
crash course is a program offered to rural communities of north dakota. We educate students and their parents regarding college and beyond. During a session, one will hear from financial aid representatives, learn about north dakota job opportunities, prepare for college, military, etc. , and get hands-ons help to explore career choices.
