Mission: To provide and support a comprehensive developmental and educational program which enhances the strengths of each child/adult. To provide training to increase independence and train future professionals in developmentally appropriate practices/therapies.
Programs: The center provided educational services and training for approximately 30 pre-school age children experiencing developmental delays and educational services for approximately 30 typically developing pre-school age children. All children are between the ages of six weeks and five years of age. The center also provided speech, physical and occupational therapies to children enrolled in pre-school on an out-patient basis.
the center provided habilitation and vocational training for approximately 115 adults experiencing developmental disabilities, in a 6 hour per day, 5 day per week setting and community-based functional skills training in community-based settings.
the center provided habilitation and community-living training for approximately 38 adults experiencing developmental disabilities in group home/supported apartment settings with two 12 person group homes, one 6 person group home and four 2 bedroom apartments. The center also provided individual skills training in daily living skills areas. These skills consist of money management, grocery and household management, cleaning/grooming management, and socialization skills training with the purpose of total integration and inclusion in the community.
