Is the conduit for change to enable help for the most imperiled symbols of the natural world for future generations.
Programs: Okapi conservation project:working in the ituri forest of the democratic republic of congo providing leadership and support to develop and implement conservation initiatives including education, agroforestry, protection and community assistance. Implementing programs to protect the okapi and the biodiversity of the okapi wildlife reserve.

The giraffe conservation foundation's vision is that of a sustainable future where all giraffe populations and (sub) species are protected and secure in the wild. Giraffe and okapi are the only living species in the giraffidae family and share of number of common features, such as elongated necks and long, dark colored tongues (both adaptations for feeding on tree leaves). The giraffe is found in savannah regions of the 21 countries across sub-saharan africa while okapi are restricted to the dense, lowland rainforests of central and north-eastern democratic republic of congo (drc).
