In March 2009, we adopted an adult dog "Butch" from the Humane Society, according to my two children (ages 3 and 5), he is the "best dog ever!" At the Humane Society they told us he was between 2 and 3 years old, had Heartworm disease and was rescued from being put to sleep in a shelter in Georgia. He now has a clean bill of health (weighing in at 100 lbs!) and has been the perfect addition to our family. He is very gentle and patient with the kids, someone took the time to train him, he has wonderful manners and is very affectionate and loving with everyone he meets.
