An amazing resource for nonprofits in Florida. They have saved us so much money and it feels good to know that some of this stuff is being repurposed instead of ending up in landfills!
Waste to Charity has been a very important find for our organization. The supplies and equipment we are able to obtain from WC are supplies we need on an everyday basis and being able to "shop" WC saves us thousands of dollars. Theresa and her staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. Again, we are very lucky to have found them.
They have been a great asset to our rescue and have helped us a lot. We greatly appreciate all they do to help others in need every day.
Fandango Sanctuary in Englewood, is receiving donations from Waste to Charity on a regular basis. We are very thankful for all the wonderful donations who support our organization and animals.

Always generous to a fault!! Whatever you need for your non-profit or charitable event they are sure to help you. Wonderful people to work with - honest & reliable. Wishing them the best this coming year.
We, the WareHouse of Venice (a local youth organization) were in bad need of shelving. We currently don’t have a facility so everything we do is in 3 storage units. We were busting at the scenes and stacked higher than the facility allowed. This also made it extremely difficult to find what we needed when we needed without completely removing half of everything and returning it back in some orderly fashion.
While on their wait-list for shelving we stayed on their minds and hearts. Calls of “hey can you guys use…..?” are always such a blessing.
- Storage containers
- Clothing: nice khaki pants and collared polos for our teens to wear for work or apply for jobs. And even some smaller sizes to help out the families we knew with younger siblings.
- metal tumblers: we love having a variety of things on hand to bless and reward the middle and high school students that we work with. They are so amazing and super appreciative of such things.
- many supplies available to help us help families who were cleaning up after Hurricane Ian
Last year, a day before the city’s annual Holiday Parade, our storage cart cracked a little further. This was a huge deal since we push it in the parade to carry candy that we hand out and other supplies needed along the parade route walk. Our board president contacted Waste to Charity. Next thing I know a large box was being loaded into our WareHouse van. it was a brand new never been used cart! Pretty sure I cried a little.
Hard to imagine that companies have these items left over and instead of sitting unused that they give them so that they can then be given to organizations like us. We always let the teens and their families know that this is how these items happen. It’s a great way for us to teach them philanthropy and gratitude.
Thank You Waste to Charity and those that help support all that they do!!
Waste to Charity is a fantastic opportunity for non profits. So glad to have access to these resources. The help received is greatly appreciated
This organization is making a difference in our community! They gladly support other charities and welcome partnerships with rescues and other hard-working non-profits. Easy to work with, helpful and organized...what more can we say?!
Waste to Charities has been a steadfast and consistent collaborative organization with Habitat for Humanity Sarasota for many years now. We appreciate their efforts in alerting us when product is ready for pick up that directly impacts our mission goals. The only reason a five star rating was not given is that occasionally the product offered is not suitable for our mission. That said…Waste to Charity allows us to choose what benefits our organization the most and we are grateful for their generosity.
Waste to Charity: A Beacon of Hope for Our Cat Rescue!
I can't say enough about the incredible work being done by Waste to Charity. Their dedication to collecting valuable resources and redirecting them to organizations like our cat rescue has made a world of difference in the lives of the felines we care for. This charity truly embodies the spirit of generosity and compassion, and I couldn't be more thrilled to write a positive review for them.
One of the most significant ways Waste to Charity has impacted our cat rescue is through their commitment to donating valuable food, cat litter, and supplies. Every donation they provide is a lifeline for the cats we look after, helping us ensure that they receive the best care possible. We've been able to improve the well-being of our cats in so many ways thanks to the consistent support from Waste to Charity.
What sets this charity apart is their efficiency and effectiveness in getting those resources to where they're needed most. The staff at Waste to Charity are truly passionate about their mission, and it's evident in their tireless efforts to make sure no valuable resource goes to waste. They have established a seamless process that ensures that the rescued goods reach organizations like ours promptly and in excellent condition.
Moreover, Waste to Charity has played a crucial role in raising awareness about the importance of repurposing and redistributing valuable resources. Their commitment to sustainability and reducing waste is inspiring, and they set an excellent example for other organizations and individuals to follow.
In a world where countless animals are in need of care, it's heartwarming to know that Waste to Charity is there to lend a helping hand. Their contributions have allowed us to focus our resources on providing better medical care, safe and comfortable environments, and the love and attention our rescued cats deserve.
Waste to Charity, you are truly making a difference in the lives of countless cats and the people who care for them. Your work is a testament to the power of kindness, and we are immensely grateful for the impact you've had on our cat rescue and the broader animal welfare community. Keep up the incredible work, and know that your efforts are deeply appreciated by all of us at the cat rescue!

I volunteer for the Humane Society of Highlands County. This charity has given us some much needed dog food. Also some cleaning supplies that were very appreciated. The employees were extremely helpful and very gracious.
Waste to Charity does more for local non profits than anyone we know. They are ALWAYS first to offer help when there is a hardship and they are continually looking outside the box to find ways to use their products to benefit all of us! The fact that it keeps these items out of landfills is just a huge bonus!!
These folks always go above and beyond to assist in anyway they can.
They even helped fill up the tires in my van after I loaded it full of dog food.
They are always friendly and always work hard to find the items you are always looking for.
There items greatly help take care of the many injured animals that we see. This organazation is vital to the commmunity and the many non profits its serves
Many thanks

As a 501c3 nonprofit farm and exotic animal sanctuary, Waste to Charity has been a great find for us. There are so many day to day items like paper towels and gloves and large items like fans and carts that they have supplied that has helped us to save money and be able to concentrate more on the animals care. The people who run Waste to Charity are so kind and helpful. I
Theresa and her employees are wonderful. I have referred several other nonprofits to them this year. They are truly a blessing to local charity groups, especially groups like our s that are all-volunteer. Thank goodness for Waste to Charity!
This charity is always going above and beyond. Our community can’t thank you enough for distributing food to our fur babies in a time of need . Your selfs and your volunteers working around the clock to get your organization put back together that was also impacted by hurricane Ian and yet you still made it priority to put your community first …
I am the shelter manager for St. Francis Animal Rescue of Venice. Without the generosity of Waste to Charity I am not sure if we would be able to support not just the cats in our care but also all of the community cats that we provide food for. Waste to Charity has helped provide paper goods, cleaning supplies, PPE materials for staff, as well as the food and litter that our cats need.
Can't say enough good things about this organization, staff , and inventory.. Highly recommend. Friendly courteous folks that go above and beyond to help!
Thanks

Truly a generous woman. Cathy Cebrick-SCHWARZ, Suncoast basset Rescue
I known this charity for many years and I am always amazed at how generous they are to those in need. Besides helping globally where ever they can, they are also a significant source for local needs. This past year alone their donations to animals shelters has been incredible. If there is an organization or a group of people who are in need, you can count on Waste to Charity to be there for them, in whatever capacity is effective.
I see first hand how many pallets of PPP and masks were donated during the pandemic ! Waste to Charity also does so much for ALL the local animal shelters and churches in our community ! When no one else had toilet paper for the churches they knew they could count on us ! And the amount of industrial size fans that were donated to AGAPE was off the charts this summer ! ANYthing we had that they needed we gladly donated ! from pallet jacks to fans to face shields to hospital gowns !

A wonderful resource for our nonprofit organization...supplies, equipment, all types of things that allow us to focus our own dollars on our services instead.
We’ve been in desperate need of shelving, for years. To buy them sturdy enough, and as many as we needed was super expensive. So we just dealt without. This week Waste to Charity had, and donated, just what we needed! Super thankful & excited to get them all assembled and organized. The rolling cart they gave us before has truly been a Blessing, to make what we do, on & off school campuses successful.
These folks are the best!!! They have helped & donated to hundreds of people & other non-profits for over 15+ years. They a great asset to the community and beyond!

What they are doing for the community and the world is astounding. Quality people and the service is incredible. The concept is fantastic and really believe they’re doing excellent work as one of the leading environmental non-profits.
Worked with them over a summer and they did some great work. Got to see first hand how they helped those in need and the full spirit of the company.
Can't tell you what a relief it is to get GREAT customer service! Polite, responsible, and dare I say witty people work.here...and even more importantly, they are environmentally responsible!!
Without getting into a lot of detail because we happen to be in a very sensitive industry where a lot of care, honesty and attention to detail are required, I want to thank Jack and his team for surpassing all our expectations. Thank you !!!
Integrity, Honesty, Passion, ingenuity, and compassion! Waste to Charity allows companies to offload unwanted inventory, gain valuable tax relief and pass needed supplies on to those less fortunate. it's truly a win-win situation for all involved!

We have witnessed this charity donate thousands and thousands of items to Haiti and our own country during devastating times. From mattresses to food, to blankets and footwear. Even industrial parts to assist in the national economic recovery. Hats off to you!!! Wow
Excellent people, wonderful cause. Very friendly, helpful and caring. Only dealt with them 3 different times, but A+ service and friendliness each time.
Waste to Charity has helped us change the lives of so many animals! They always help us find non-traditional ways of problem solving at our rescue! Fast, efficient, organized! Super helpful and friendly staff! We couldn’t do what we do without them!
Waste To Charity has been donating truckloads of tooling, tool cabinets , and other industrial supplies to our organization. If they did not save them they would be filling up local landfills since "BIG BUSINESS" just wants to throw away waste instead of finding a new life and use for it. I also spoke to jack and he donated another truckload of paper products to my sons youth football league. Toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, mops, mop buckets, brooms, and garbage cans. Thank You Waste To Charity and to your staff !
Waste to Charity has been a a huge help to Charlotte County the past 8 months. Donating truckloads of paper towels, toilet paper , and many household items that were distibuted to many of the needy families here in our county. ANYTIME I have called them to see if they have anything they ALWAYS have items ready for me to pickup and get distributed !

Not in any filings but good to know:
Sells majority of donated stock on eBay under the name: industryrecycles
Also sells through a private website with the same name as above

Personal thoughts:
Majority of donations come from one company and most of the inventory would not end up in a landfill. Check the eBay account above to see their inventory. Most items are new overstock/discontinued with some customer returns that if they weren't donated would be sold to liquidators and other surplus inventory distributors. The only reason the items are donated is because the company, under current regulations, receives more from the tax right-off than they do from liquidating it.
Some things do get donated to other charities (and hopefully from there to people who actually need them) but only if they are deemed unsellable or otherwise not worth dealing with.
Take note of how many of the reviews here have very similar language and how many were posted soon after a bad review was given. Some could be real, but I would bet that most are shills.
Look at the 990's (you can see them on guidestar.org - login required), check out the eBay account, and do a search for Waste To Charity, then decide if this is the kind of charity you want to be associated with.
Waste to Charity is a huge benefit across the board. Their dedication to recyling for the good is just one example of their commitment to serving the communities/business where it's needed and paying it forward. Items that would typically be tossed into the garbage or wind up on some storage rack indefinately are sought out and being utilized. They are such a great organization, it goes beyond words to explain. Waste not, want not. Thnak you for all your hard work.

Waste to Charity goes above and beyond helping others in need. Glad to see supplies not being wasted, keeping materials out of our landfills and in the hands of the people that need them.Glad to see somebody still cares
I have listened for years to the many stories of relief and value that Waste to Charity has provided for people here in the USA and abroad. So many of our products in this country are wasted or condemned before they are ruined. What child who is dying of pneumonia or parent who's child is sick wouldn't want any help whatsoever. We need companies like "Waste to Charity" to insure that our country doesn't 'waste' anything, when so many people are in need. I applaud Waste To Charity's efforts during the devastating storms in the Gulf and their efforts are nothing less than relentless!

This nonprofit keeps untold amounts of materials out of landfills and puts it into the hands of people who can actually do something useful with it! God Bless them, I wish there were more companies committed as fully as Wast to Charity!

Waste to Charity is an environmentally conscious charity that provides a dual purpose for the public... utlizing unused product of companies and keeping that out of landfills, and providing donations to worthwhile charities. What an innovative idea!
I think this organization does a great service to the community and country in general.Recycling old machinery and other products that could end up in landfills, turning them around for other uses is a great service. T HE MAIN REASON THAT I DEAL WITH THIS CHARITY IS, THE PEOPLE ,THE SERVICE TO COMMUNITY AND THE FACT THAT I AM DOING A GOOD THING BY DEALING WITH THEM.
I have been working with Waste to Charity for several years now. I am impressed at how they have been able to create a company out of items others have no more use for. This not only helps save the environment and landfills from filling up with useful items, but helps all who receive the items with lower overhead for things they need anyway. I look forward to their growth in the future and will keep them in mind anytime I have things to donate.
Thank goodness that Organizations like this find like minded companies, and put resources to good use. Think about it- when we’re just throwing all of our resources away it is pathetic. Kudos for Waste to Charity!

This organization has been a Pioneer in the field of reverse logistics. Their people were very forthcoming, and we were surprised when then actually referred us to another charity, as an option.
When we worked overseas, we were able to place the same methods of both Horizontal Occupancy Ratio-Ratio of exposed floor space in the occupiable space to floor space occupied by warehousing units.
Horizontal Separations-Space consumed by pallets in a column or unit clearances in racks, bins and shelves. Also space consumed by beams, rails shelves or other horizontal supports.
Waste to charity has filed for bankruptcy. Why would you donate to a charity that has been in bankruptcy for almost 2 years or more. If they are doing everything they say they should be ok like all of the other good charities? I was also told they are in a really big lawsuit with tempurpedic.
My company donated our old (but working) Plastic Molding Machine to WTC. Our machine was placed directly onto a cargo container, and we could see that the booking for it was Haiti. This was before the big Earthquake, so donating to Haiti really wasn't thought of as much then.
We will gladly donate to WTC in the future.
My Wife and I have volunteered for several non profits in the past. Waste to Charity is by far one of the best we have volunteered for. Sending out over 15000 identify it Educational flash cards for children is no simple task and this organization made it happen without a hitch. Would certainly help them again if the opportunity arose.
I see first hand the donations that Waste To Charity donates on a daily basis. It amazes me the amount of waste that would be going into our landfills, instead of going to people and countries that need the items in order to survive. America needs more non profits like WTC.
1 Truckload of assorted snack foods, (chips, pretzels, etc.) City of Industry California, going to the local homeless shelter. I volunteered to help unload the truck and it was clear that these snacks were straight from the bakery.
WTC operators have been working on lessening waste and recycling long before it was fashionable. Kudos to them for always doing the right thing.
I've been following the crusade led by Waste to Charity since April 2007. I'm so impressed. Their resources found on their website have been extremely useful. Their programs and photos are inspiring. Thank you Waste To Charity!
You would be more than amazed at how much industrial stuff goes to the landfill. This organization helps companies find uses for large and small quantities of products, ingredients, used machinery and all sorts of items they would normally put in a dumpster. In addition many of the items are distributed to other charitable organizations that can use them. I would like more companies to learn about the enviromental, social and financial benefits to donating.
Great organization! We need programs like this to continue to make strides cleaning up the environment and preventing more junk in landfills.
This organization is very dedicated and determined to make a diffence. I feel any grants or funds available should be allotted to help this organization continue to achieve & accomplish their goals.
Waste to Charity was the reason we were able to recycle unwanted but certainly useable light fixtures. Jack Fitzgerald and his staff work professionally and effecient in the process.
I worked for Waste to Charity for over 4 years. This non profit is in a niche that most people don't know about, or understand. Its sort of like a Goodwill or Salvation army, not with retail outlets, but geared to industry and business rather then taking on peoples old clothes or furniture. Every year thousands of products and tons of materials become waste which would eventually end up in land fills. They may be out of date food items, obsolete, damaged, irregular or overstock inventories of any kind. Tools, clothing, computer parts, lighting fixtures, paint, you name it. Instead of paying to have these items thrown away, companies can donate this inventory to charity and write a percentage off the bottom line. Its a win- win - win situation that is good for American business, good for the charity receiving the items, and good for the American public as landfills (which are costly financially and environmentally) don't fill up, and the public, relief NGOs and faith based organizations have the chance to acquire items at substantially reduced cost. Many items are distributed to the poor and needy in this country and abroad because this tax incentive system is in place. This is recycling on a grand scale. "One man's trash is another man's treasure." Part of the reason obsolete inventories become trash is that managing them, storing them, and shipping them is more costly then what the items are worth. None the less SOME of these things still have value and usefulness. Some things are so damaged, old or undesirable that they really are trash. One has to be careful not to see fools gold instead of gold in order not to go bankrupt pedaling junk that can't be reused. Someone has to pay for the time and energy and costs associated with RE-placing these goods. This requires knowledge of a variety of markets, products, transportation systems, cultures, outlets, scams, business models, financing, tax law, salesmanship and partnership & negotiating skills, etc etc etc, plus a lot of savvy and a ton of drive, for oftentimes not much reward. Knowing you are doing good really helps to motivate you in taking on the challenges, plus there is the joy of learning so much, as every day brings on the need for knowledge of a different product. One of my duties at Waste to Charity was to find a home for these inventories. Since our activities included shipping and storing these goods, and warehousing, freight, rent, electricity, internet connections, etc not being free, there are the usual costs of doing business that must be covered by any organization, regardless of its tax status. Just because you are a charity, doesn't mean you get everything for free, or can afford to give away what you put money into, for free. Employees and CEOs of charities need to earn a living as well, to pay personal bills healthcare costs, their own rent, to school and raise their own children, fix cars, and to eat. Just like Goodwill, or the Red Cross, charities must get money to operate from somewhere. Each sells something. I sold some of the inventory we were donated, most of that money went back into the overhead I mentioned earlier. We were not driving around new cars and enjoying expensive vacations. It was challenging, rewarding work and with 5 employees we kept millions of pounds of what would otherwise be trash out of landfills and put it into the hands of those in need, or those in need of a bargain to maintain a small business. I'm so proud of what we were able to do on a skeleton budget and crew with hardly a cash donation received, from any one, any government, or business. We paid our own way with what we made from junk, never turning away possible donations without fully checking out if something was viable, or of interest to another org. My boss Jack Fitzgerald was tireless in his efforts, and by far under compensated for his role as CEO, IT technician, Head of Marketing, Head of Sales, being THE legal department, Chief operations Manager, and wearing the many many hats one must wear to operate a small business. I can't say enough about this organization, especially when you compare how much it accomplishes in comparison with its true "administrative" and operating costs, for this in the end is the true test of how much good a charity is doing, and how much "bang" for the "buck" you are getting when you donate cash or goods. The difference between what the charity puts out there for the good cause, and what it keeps for itself. With Waste to Charity you are making a good choice.
I have known Waste to Charity since its inception and have been amazed at the outpouring of gifts and contributions they have made throughout the world! From sending much needed medicine to 3rd world countries to supplying bedding for our disaster ravaged south, this organization steps up to the plate time and time again. I have never heard of a need out there that they have denied were it in their power! And, who else is going to spend so much time, energy and thoughtfulness in the disposal of unspeakable items that we as a country pile up over and over! How did we manage without them!
Since our inception, We have donated millions of dollars worth of food, clothing, medical equipment, and many other items, which were destined for landfills. Our corporate partners have been extremely generous, and have allowed us to streamline their reverse logistics programs. Caveat: I founded the organization, So I'm not sure my rating should count.
Great non profit to deal with. WTC has its priorities set on what it does for the environment and the less fortunate. (unlike many other non profit org's out there).
Waste to Charity, Inc. does a fabulous job furthering the green initiative here in the US by recycling usable products back into the mainstream. Efforts such as theirs keep non-biodegradable items out of our landfills.
