Mission: Purpose is to provide information,education,representation,benefits,and services to the volunteer fire fighters of the state of washington.
Programs: The annual fire school provides a complete venue of classes, workshops and access to a multitude of vendors, speakers and networking opportunities offering benefits and services to the participants.
the association provides services to it's over 15,000 volunteer fire service responders in washington state. Aside from representation on regional, state and national platforms the wsffa provides quarterly newsletters, external training opportunities, discounts on training and scholarships, and a myriad of insurance options. The organization also serves as the platform recognizing volunteers with awards such as scholastic awards, firefighter of the year and the lifesaving merit awarded to the public at-large.
the wsffa staff and officers monitor and provide comments and input on state and national legislation, administrative rules, and other issues that affect and benefit the volunteer fire service and responders. The organization also provide representation on a multitude of committee, task forces and boards.
