Programs: Member events & services - wgha executes events to strategically bring together global health practitioners around relevant topics. 2017 highlights include: roundtables on non-communicable diseases and malaria, coordination for members around global health interns and the launch of an orientation to the global health community for new hires.
education & advocacy - wgha has over the past year engaged in education and advocacy for washington's global health community. We have organized briefings of elected officials on global health issues and created a federal funding snapshot to document the importance of federal investment in supporting global health work. In addition, we have organized the nw anti-microbial resistance coalition to increase awareness of anti-microbial resistance and the work that washington-based organizations are doing to combat it.
