Causes: General Hospitals, Health
Mission: We are committed to being the best community healthcare system in the region.
Programs: Our organization provides significant charity care and other community benefits as defined by the internal revenue service (irs). But in addition, we believe we provide a critically important community benefit which cannot be quantified. Our organization was created and is maintained in order to provide care locally-care that without the presence of our organization, would not be available to the people in our service area. In addition to providing inpatient medical, obstetrical, newborn and surgical inpatient services, we offer a wide variety of outpatient and ancillary services to the people in our service area. These include a birthing center, diagnostic services-laboratory, imaging and cardiac testing, sleep study services, 24-hour emergency services, urgent care services, infusion and gastrointestinal services, rehabilitation services-physical, occupational, respiratory and speech therapy, and specialty medicine. In fiscal 2017, hospital and hospice inpatient services included 3,350 acute care patient days, and 280 newborn patient days. There were 1,209 surgery cases, 7,959 emergency and urgent care visits, and 6,424 visits to the specialty clinic.
