Programs: Contributions were raised and allocations were made to the following community agencies: the bridge of central ma, casa project, catholic charities - family and children services, community legal aid, girl scouts of central & western ma, literacy volunteers of the tri-community, new hope, pathways for change, tri-valley inc, tri-community ymca, american red cross of central ma, worc comm action council, big brothers big sisters of central ma / metrowest, inc. , and mass 2-1-1, inc.
united way of southbridge, sturbridge & charlton volunteers collectively donated more than 900 hours of community service during its annual day of caring. Volunteers cleared brush, landscaped, repaired and painted at a dozen sites for nonprofit organizations and schools in its service area. This one-day effort unites volunteers, reduces cost to complete projects for nonprofits and schools, and creates visible positive change in the tri-community.
