This organization has a wonderful approach to helping people. Not only do they work by providing services globally, they include local communities and hold seminars and conferences that uplift kids, women, and families. Some Initiatives they have worked on have included governmental leaders that have helped kids understand how their government works. Other seminars are being held to help families overcome bullying and racism. I will support UNITED SIKHS for years to come!

I have been able to see first-hand the wonderful work UNITED SIKHS has been doing. From their initiatives like Project Kirti that helps people become self-sufficient, to the UMEED Helpline that people can call and receive resources or just someone to talk to- UNITED SIKHS is really doing amazing work worldwide. I have recurring donations that I give via Dasvandh Network and I get regular updates of the work they do.
UNITED SIKHS has been a valuable member of the coalition of nonprofits that serve NYC during emergencies for decades. They are a trusted partner that are always responsive and agile enough to fill gaps very quickly. During the response to hurricane Sandy they served meals in emergency shelters designated for people with special medical needs. They are a great ally to have when times are tough!

I first got to know about United Sikhs when it's relief work in Aceh, Indonesia in the aftermath of 2004 Tsunami was lauded by all. Ever since I have been following United Sikhs and been in awe of their volunteer work in every natural calamity that unfortunately struck the world be it Haiti, Pakistan, Nepal, Kashmir, etc, etc.
United Sikhs is living to the fullest fundamental Sikh principle of serving all humanity as children of One God.
Our prayers for United Sikhs and it's volunteers & supporters to keep serving wherever the citizens of the world are in distress.

I've had the opportunity to volunteer for and meet with various United Sikhs' volunteers for the past few years. I have been personally motivated by the selflessness and enthusiasm of the people running this organization. Most of my interactions have been with volunteers across the United States and France. The primary focus has been to provide humanitarian aid to people in need in any corner of the world. This organization also fights on behalf of people for social justice issues. I hope to continue volunteering with them in the long term.

I joined this organisation by default..I was closeby to Aceh when the tsunami happened in 2004.. I have been a volunteer with UNITED SIKHS ever since.. it's a small organisation that reaches out to people like me..and gets amazing things done just by having local contacts that know the disaster areas well.. it's run by a small group of kind giving like minded people who mostly don't get paid, who stand alone but fight like an army ..recognising the human race as one..serving all irrespective of caste creed race or religion.. they could do with more support..more funds ..to do more .. an organisation that spends each and every dime on the mission and saves nothing for itself.. some say is not prudent..I believe is the best one to support.. you know all your aid is getting there.. and so much more.
Have seen the work done by United SIKHS closely. Am always awed by its ever inclusive and clear vision, passion and dedication of its team. The culture of love and commitment they work in and spread around is contagious.

The great philanthropic organization working for the humanity based on the principles of GURU Nanak, the founder of Sikhism, the youngest religion in the world. They did a great job in Nepal earthquake relief last year.
United Sikhs is always ready to help people in need through out the world without discrimination. Whether it is Turkey or Nepal, they were there serving people day and night.
The United Sikhs organization is a fast and improving nonprofit association. This summer I participated in the Advocacy and Humanitarian Aid Academy which made me more alert and aware of my community. I am very glad to have attended the academy.

Working with the Malaysian chapter of United Sikhs during the annual East coast floods in state of Kelantan warmed my heart simply to know humanity still prevails.
UNITED SIKHS is an amazing NGO as it has not only helped normalize the image of the Sikh community through its various projects in International Humanitarian Aid, Human Rights Advocacy and Local Charity Work through its various chapters around the world, but it has managed to also get non-Sikhs involved in its activities! No doubt its values are Sikh oriented but those values convert into Human values as well, thus there is no discrimination it who they serve and who they allow to serve under their banner! A truly honorable NGO, with the needs of the people at its heart!
I believe in the vision of a One World . UNITED SIKHS has helped me serve with this mission be it by winning religious freedom cases at the UN, giving pensions to farmer suicide widows in Panjab or by continuing to help the quake victims in Nepal.

UNITED SIKHS is great organization I am volunteering since 2008 with this organization. In Haiti earthquake 2010 we sent 2 container loads to Haiti from Canada. For two months we ran free hot food kitchen in Haiti to serve disaster affected people. I am so proud to being volunteer of this organization.
