As a part of the United Federation Inc., I have been able to see and experience so many wonderful things. This group is VERY community driven in the Broome and Tioga county NY areas, with hopes of expanding even farther. During Covid-19 in 2020 the United Federation had to take a back burner, but that did not stop the zeal of helping other people. Even during the pandemic many were given donations and had contact the organization. We did not stay silent. I am proud to be a part of this organization that is so much more than a basic fan group. It is a place to be a nerd that loves and cares for the wellbeing of others.
The United Federation,Inc. has been working to make a difference. To make the world a better place one community at a time, though programs like the hats and scarfs, volunteering of their time at local events or a local golf course. To helping the Skylark during the COVID Pandemic by purchasing Over $200 in gift cards to help their business thrive, then gifting these gift cards out to our community for individuals and families to use for a meal and ultimately bring in more revenue for Skylark.
COVID has hit everyone and The United Federation,Inc. was no exception. We started our Nonprofit in early 2019 we were learning how to run and develop programs for our area when the Pandemic hit. We had to side line our programs, hopes and dreams to make a difference for all of 2020 and 7 months of 2021. We were able to do Conklin Con II where we donated the vendors fees to Conklin Christmas Toy drive. We are on the come back and we're hoping to be able to start a CANCER SUPPORT GROUP in the coming months.
We are actively working on an Community Event "CONKLIN CON" which will help to bring some revenue to our area as well as help to support our Local Artist, Authors, Illustrators and the fine vendors to whom many purchase fine items. The funds raised will help the United Federation,Inc. Bring back "CONKLIN CON " in 2023 as well as provide revenue for the programs and community services for the rest of 2022 and into 2023.
