Mission: United Advocates for Children and Families (UACF) is a non profit organization with a mission to improve the quality of life for all children and youth with mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges and to eliminate institutional discrimination and social stigma. We form collaborations and educate the community about important issues involving families and children with mental health disorders. UACF also operates a direct services program for and by families in various counties of the state.

Programs: Organizational training & technical assistance - promote the growth and development of autonomous, strategic and sustainable statewide family organizations by providing individualization, strength-based training and technical assistance in the context of peer-to-peer learning environments.
direct service family partnership - the family partnership program operates at the individual, agency and community level by assisting families in advocating for the best possible care for their children. Family partnership services are individualized short-term services for children and families living with mental illness, provided by trained family members who offer peer support, mentoring and education on issues regarding children's mental health, multi-system navigation, and educational legal rights.
public policy - design, promote and advocate for progressive legislative policies, local practices and service delivery systems, which are family-centered, accessible, respectful, and express the cultures, beliefs, values and healing traditions of families and communities, for children and youth with mental, emotional, and behavioral challenges and their families.
