Tyson’s Love and Hope on Wheels helped my girl, Lottie, battle Degenerative Mylopathy for nearly a year and a half after diagnosis by giving her the mobility she needed through the use of a wheelchair loaned out through this kind-hearted, compassionate, knowledgeable organization. I will be forever grateful for the kindness shown and the wisdom shared, allowing me to spend that extended time with my girl with a painless disease that shows no mercy and devastates all that encounter it.

My 10 yr old Bernese Mtn dog Cooper was diagnosed with a neurological disorder in Oct '24. His back legs had great weakness, the R rear leg the worse...although he is a senior he is incredibility active, wants to swim, socialize and see his fur friends. I met a lady whose dog was in a wheelchair, Cooper was in one as well ( bought off Facebook marketplace) she told me of Tysons Love and Hope on wheels and how amazing they were. She was right! They are so amazing, knowledgeable, kind, supportive...always a chat away for anything. I've never seen or heard of something so incredible that when I was struggling with Cooper, the wheelchair I bought was too small, they helped me switch it out for Large wheelchair. Monday I was told it was on its way and Wed when I came home from work it was waiting for me. The network of support is wonderful, you never feel alone or judged. It is also so rare to find a community of so many like minded people who only want the best for eachother and their pets

My German Shepard has been diagnosed with degenerative myopathy-his hind legs went completely down around 5 months after the diagnosis. I have my boy enrolled in therapy and the vet recommended I get wheels to help with his emotional state and assist with his therapy. I had old wheels that I found on marketplace but the wheels were hurting him because it was the wrong fit. I found out about Tyson Love and Hope on Wheels and reached out to them about my boy. They outfitted him with the correct size and had them sent to me so quickly! My boy is THRIVING and even his vet said that he’s defying the odds! The wheels give him freedom and has helped with his confidence too! The Organization needs more recognition! My boys quality of life wouldn’t be possible without their help and support!

This is my ball of sunshine Hershey.. In beginning of March 2024 Hershey was walking slow, and then all of a sudden he could not get up or move back legs. I took him to emergency room and they said his disc were broke and pressing on spinal cord. March 4th they did back surgery in Madison Wis. The vet said no guarantee he would ever walk again. The vet in Rockford suggested Tysons Love and Hope, and let me tell you what a God send they are. Hershey is wobbling on his own and starting to pick himself up.. I cannot thank Tysons Love and Hope enough you are angels. Thank you from Hershey and myself we are forever grateful.

The people who run this nonprofit are truly amazing human beings!!! I have been a part of this group for over a year! I’ve seen nothing but wonderful things! Then, sadly, I needed their assistance for my Sweet Jake! He needed wheels and they didn’t hesitate to help me! They promptly sent me the wheels. Unfortunately, my guy didn’t make it long to use them! I was only able to get him in it once, and he was not able to use it due to the immense pain he was in. But, they were there for me through all of it!!!
They didn’t hound me after he died when I just couldn’t bring myself to send the wheels back. It just broke me after losing Jake! They were amazing even through that! The people that run this nonprofit TRULY and GENUINELY care about the animals they place in wheelchairs and their people! I have NOTHING but wonderful things to say about them!

His mobility has been severely limited by Arthritis and muscle atrophy from Cushing’s Disease. I’m hoping this will give him increased mobility. Great nonprofit that makes a big difference in the lives of dogs with physical limitations. I will always be grateful.

My story began in 2023, when my best friend, Ruby, started declining and needed a wheelchair. I found Tysons Love and Hope on Wheels by chance, through another group, and to say they changed Ruby's retirement is an understatement. I knew what Ruby's fate would ultimately be, but she got 8 more GOOD months of freedom, travel, and one last beach trip before her passing in 2024. Without this organization, her last year would have been much less happy, and I can't thank them enough for what they do. I also have another baby in one of their loaner chairs-- Javier the raccoon! He was born with a genetic condition that makes him unable to walk without assistance... but with his wheels, he truly gets to be the wild boy he was meant to be. He will never be releasable into the wild... but his quality of life because of his wheels had increased 100x.

My best buddy and constant companion is 11 years old and his name is Gus. He is a corgi and he has Degenerative Myelopathy (DM). I found Tysons Love and Hope on Wheels when I was on a Facebook search about DM. From the moment I contacted them they have been there for us. Within a very short period of time they had sent us a set of wheels to help him walk. He struggled with accepting and using the wheels and they supported and encouraged us every inch of the way and beyond. Now Gus can go places and his quality of life has improved beyond my expectations. He has confidence again and has perked up and regained that corgi attitude. A happy dog again! I am so grateful to them for helping me have some more quality time with the best dog in the world. They are a fabulous organization and a wonderful bunch of people.

I was informed of Tysons love and hope on wheels shortly after our Luna girl was diagnosed with DM.
I was simply amazed how quickly this team of caring individuals got back to me.
They asked me questions about Luna within 2 days they had approved her for wheels. And they did this over the weekend! I thought for sure it would be during the work week. Long story short Luna had wheels in approx. 8 days.
This group is always available to answer questions. They truly want the best for our fur babies and us. I’m so incredibly thankful for Tysons love and hope on wheels.

My sweet 10 year old Border Collie began having hind leg weakness in the beginning of November 2024. We wanted her to have the best quality pup life, but wheelchairs are expensive. I found out about Tyson’s Love and Hope on Wheels and reached out to them for help. They immediately responded to assess whether Harley was strong enough for wheels and then found a wheelchair and sent it right away. And the help didn’t stop there—they were very patient in giving advice to make sure the wheelchair was adjusted properly and gave advice on how to put on her shoes so they were better at protecting her feet.
Unfortunately Harley passed away last week. The Tyson’s team has been very supportive during this tough time. I’m so grateful that Harley was given the opportunity to be mobile despite her weakening legs and this opportunity wouldn’t have been possible without Tyson’s

Before, my daughter and Gonzo TLH1140 were both in dispair. We're still wrapping our hearts around the Degenerative Myelopathy diagnosis. Incurable. We're committed to give Gonzo a joyous life each and every moment. We encountered financial struggles to provide wheels after paying for all the medical bills. Through the kindness of Stuart, with Walkinpets.com we were guided to reach out to TYSONS LOVE AND HOPE ON WHEELS. Within 10 days, Gonzo received his wheels and the lifetime support of the founfations community. We're just one family with a joyous lease on life. Multiply that with all of the families they have impacted leaves the song of life resounding around the world...

What an Amazing team! Giving a broken down old man with a bad back and a broken down dog who couldn't walk reprieve on both accounts by the use of the dog wheelchair, 5 Stars for that alone! But... there's more. Messenger phone calls with me when I'm crying tears of sorrow and tears of joy. Follow up conversations regarding chair set up, placement, tips. This foundation doesn't just provide wheelchairs to pets in need. They provide console, caring and love to folks like me, who don't have a clue what to do, where to turn or how to start. This foundation has my heart and support.
I'm brand new to this world. They encouraged me to share my pain and joy with newer members than me. Which I have been able to do because I am so fresh with my pain-to-joy experience.
I prayed hard when my pup couldn't walk. This foundation was God's answer to my prayers. I believe this 100%

Tysons Love and Hope on Wheels is the absolute best. My boy Stewie developed degenerative myelopothy and start losing the use of his hind legs and I truly had no idea what to do to give him mobility. I saw online on a degenerative myelopothy page someone suggest them. As soon as I messaged them the ball got rolling. They wanted videos of him to see how he was walking, and just so many suggestions from traction socks, to boots to help him walk better. They wanted me to keep sending update videos on his walking then when they seem him struggling more after awhile it was time for Wheels they told me and he got his wheels. And they are still a huge support system for me and Stewie. Always there for any questions I have during this difficult journey. They are definitely a top notch non-profit. There is not even enough stars to give them

I met the founder Denise Stewart on a boxer group. I have followed her and her babies. My boxer Chopper started knuckling his left back paw, in July 2023. Roughly two to three months prior to July 2024 he became unable to use his back legs and drag himself. Through knowing Denise Stewart and her love of Tyson. And this amazing organization that was born of her love for Tyson. They were able to put Chopper into a wheelchair and give him back quality of life. Their volunteers are very helpful and knowledgeable. No matter the question/concern you have about your baby they listen and help you out. I LOVE this amazing wonderful organization Tyson Love and Hope On Wheels. Whenever me and Chopper get stopped about his wheels, I tell them about Tysons Love and Hope On Wheels and the founder Denise Stewart.

Amazing group!!! I can't say enough wonderful things about the team at Tysons love and hope on wheels! When coping with a dog with a spinal issue it can be a difficult and challenging time. We have had so much support from the team. Kona TLH 840 was reluctant to use wheels until her left leg was mostly paralyzed. She has an amazing vet, and support from the Tyson's team!
Dog wheelchairs are expensive. When you are focusing on your pets healthcare costs, it's amazing to know you do not have the added stress of the cost of a wheelchair.

Picture is from her first walk on wheels!

Thanks team Tysons!

GSD in AUSTRALIA
Zeus is a very active gsd who accompanied me to work as a demo dog (I'm a dog trainer). We did a lot of training, exploring and playing together.
When he was diagnosed with DM, he was not only physically affected, but mentally affected. He couldn't understand why he wasn't getting out as much. He knew he had physical limitations and it was heartbreaking to see the look on his face.
I contacted Tysons Love And Hope On Wheels, but was not optimistic as I live in Australia. I heard back very quickly and was pleasantly surprised to hear that they had wheelchairs in Australia. We received the chair within a week. The team have been incredibly helpful and supportive through the entire process. From fitting advice to providing information on supporting care.
Zeus is a lot happier in himself now that he can get out on walks again. It has made such a big difference to the quality of his life.

Six months ago I noticed our boy, Cyrus, was slipping on our wood floors. I didn't think much of it until he started walking on the knuckle of his back leg. Then I noticed his nails were worn down and started bleeding. Our vet sent us to a neurologist and after tests, we found out he had Degenerative Myelopathy.
I had never heard of it. After learning about it, we were devastated. Cyrus has always been such a strong and active dog. It is so heartbreaking to watch him decline. I joined a DM group on FB to try to learn all I could. Someone in the group mentioned Tysons Love and Hope on Wheels. I joined the group and they have been nothing short of amazing. They answered questions and made it clear that they would be there for me throughout the whole process and beyond. I can't even express how much their support means. Now our sweet boy Cyrus has a wheelchair coming to him. I am forever grateful for this amazing organization and their volunteers. They are angels on earth❤️

Five months ago, Miracle aka Mac, joined our family as a foster puppy. He had suffered a spinal injury and has extreme atrophy in his rear legs. A follower of our rescue donated a wheelchair which helped with walks and his confidence. Mac quickly started growing out of the wheels.

Our rescue does not have a lot of experience with wheelchair dogs. I started researching options and looking at different groups through Facebook. One click led to another and I found myself at Tysons Love and Hope on Wheels.

After following the page for a week or so, I took the plunge and posted a request for help understanding the wheelchairs and what options were available for a 6 month old puppy. That's when the magic happened.

The angels from Tysons Love and Hope on Wheels reached out and the next thing I know, Mac was approved for a wheelchair. Not just any wheelchair, a brand new one, thanks to our own sponsor.

Mac is excited to get in his wheelchair to go for walks. The people in the neighborhood know Mac and love to see him prancing down the street in his wheels. We proudly display our Tysons' merch and share our journey as often as possible.

Mac is more confident. He is more active. He is getting stronger each time he gets in his wheels. We have found a community that is able to help us and support us. In turn, we can help and support others. Mac will have his wheels for the long term and it is all because of our TLH Angels ❤️

My 12yr old Boxer mix Louie started to have trouble walking and was diagnosed with spinal spondylosis by his vet. Within 3-4 months he was barely able to get around without falling. Desperate to help him I turned to FB searching out support devices and advice from other pet owners in similar situations. A member of Tysons Love and Hope on Wheels responded to my post and really became Louie’s Fairy Godmother!
We continued our chat via Messenger and after our conversation and viewing a video of his gait they sent me a loaner wheelchair at no cost! We received the wheels within a week and they provided real time support and fitting information and advice so that Louie would be comfortable in his new wheels! This organization has absolutely restored my faith in the goodness of people. This act of kindness by complete strangers is astounding to say the least!

I made a post asking for information about supplements. One of their volunteers messaged me quickly and gave me so much info on supplements and supplies that are useful. She had me send a video of Stella walking and said they could provide her a set of wheels! I was so surprised! Everything was so fast and everyone is so friendly and helpful. I didn't even think of wheels and am happy to have them. Stella is still getting used to them. I really appreciate how helpful everyone has been, and they are just a message away. I am and forever will be utterly grateful to Tyson Love and Hope on Wheels, my little Mavee(blue frenchie) got sick on New Year’s Eve, she went from being completely fine to stage 5 IVDD. She almost didn’t make it after the surgery but thankfully she pulled through. In my anguished moments when l didn’t know what to do to help her l went into several different frenchie facebook groups lm part of, in one of those groups someone posted a comment about if l was in the need for some wheels for my baby to get in touch with her that she knew some people who were part of an organization that helps put our beloved fur babies in wheelchairs. When the time came l was desperate because l wasn’t able to afford a wheelchair for Mavee, l had depleted my savings for her surgery and everything she needed after, then I remembered about the one post during my most desperate moments, l searched for the comment and she immediately got me in touch with one of the ladies who run this organization. They have been nothing but amazing, thanks to them my Mavee gets to be mobile and have the best possible life. From the time I joined the group to my boxers passing, this organization helped me with any questions and guided me not only with the wheelchair they provided me, but they supported me with proper fitting. When my Boxer girl started getting weak in her hind leg, I didn't think much, till she could no longer bear her own weight, then the other rear leg started losing strength. We found that she had Degenerative myopathy and that it is painless, but slowly takes away any strength and moves up the spine. My active boxer was now down unless we lifted her hind end to take her out. She was so confused and depressed. After seeing a video of dogs in wheelchairs, I was directed to Tysons Love and Hope of wheels. What an amazing group of caring, knowledgeable and empathetic group of admins as well as people in the group. I reached out, explained what was happening, and within a week, my girl had a set of wheels! She has regained her stamina and strength in front legs, she is now happy and living her best life. We will continue to allow her to live her best life as long as we can. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to slow or stop the progression of the DM.
The group admins are there for us, for ANY questions, and offer suggestions as my boxer girl changes through DM. I would HIGHLY recommend reaching out to Tysons Love and Hope of Wheels for your pet if you even think they might have a better life with wheels. Don't wait till they absolutely need them, get them before so they can get used to them, and don't get depressed prior to.
