I have been part of TCH for the last year. The TCH team is like a extended family for me. I have made a lot of life long friends through this organization. It is amazing how all of us have fun but still manage to contribute to the uplift the downtrodden in our society. By far this has been a very rewarding association for me.
I have been a volunteer of Two Cents of Hope(TCH) for more than two years now. The noble mission of TCH and the professionalism with which it has been continually run over the years makes it stand out. I have been a part of three Trishna's(TCH annual fundraiser) and various other events including TCH's Tea and Mango lassi stall at Cary Diwali that was held 2 weeks back. TCH is a very well structured organization with a strongly motivated team taking care of Projects, Public Relations, Media, Membership and Coin collection. Trishna is a culmination of the efforts of all the volunteers and the leadership of TCH resulting in raising a substantial amount for funding education back in India. I have been fortunate to be a part of this noble cause and hope to be a part of TCH in the future also.
Two Cents of Hope (TCH) has been doing a great job and is continuously evolving. The organization funded many students in India and is expanded world-wide with many chapters. I am very happy to be a part of this growing organization.
My first experience as a volunteer was a great pleasure with these enthusiastic souls, a team of 30, making and selling over 1900 cups beverages in a day. I received very very warm, welcoming smiles along with all that I needed as a volunteer. For example, all the information as who else is volunteering, who's picking up whom at what time, was circulated way before time. Money and time was kept a close watch on and everything was properly accounted. I was also a viewer for Trishna, the annual event organized by TwoCentsOfHope and came to know about the work these students do. Trishna was very thoughtfully organized, for example, guests were escorted and seated to reduce disturbance due to late viewers.
Two Cents of Hope has been a great organization to work with. The organization's main motive is to collect pennies, convert them into useful amount and use it for education of students in India. Apart from this it strives all throughout the year to generate funds and utilize it for the welfare of underprivileged students. Working with it has been an eye opener and gives great sense of satisfaction as each tier of the group is transparent. Every volunteer has a say in the on goings of the projects and the allocation of amount to each project. In short hope to continue being a part of something to help people back home, away from home!!
