Nonprofit Overview
Mission: Our mission is prevention of homelessness in Tuscola County Michigan.
Results: We were established in 2000. Have been active in the Tuscola County community since that time. We work with Landlords, State and Local Human Service Organizations, Churches and Individuals to secure/maintain adequate housing for those facing homelessness. With our coordination of efforts with other organizations and individuals we are usually able to prevent a family/person from becoming homeless. This is vitally important as Tuscola County does not have a formal homeless shelter.
Target demographics: Families with children and those with medical issues
Direct beneficiaries per year: 27 families consisting of 23 women, 4 men and 28 children
Geographic areas served: Prevention of Homelessness
Programs: Assistance with security deposits, Past due rent, Emergency issues. Coordinate with State & Local Human Service Agencies.
