Causes: Child Day Care, Children & Youth

Mission: Thousand palms child care center provides licensed child care services for both preschool and school age children. The center also teaches and disseminates educational material relating to children, to their parents, and other interested parties through publications, lectures, seminars, and other methods. The center provides a safe, secure, and nuturing environment for all enrolled children up to twelve years of age. Through the center's innovative child care programs, the goal is to: (1)promote health, physical growth, and motor development, (2) increase independence in meeting and solving problems, (3) strengthen inner emotional controls, (4) recognize reasonable limits to influence growth towards self-discipline, (5) encourage self-liking, self confidence, and self-understanding, (6) foster security with adults, (7) promote language skills, (8) broaden intellectual horizons, help children to observe, investigate, seek, and aquire information through critical thinking skills.

Programs: Riverside county office of education child care program:this program provides quality childcare services to children ages two through kindergarten. This program is funded by a grant from the riverside county office of education. Families that meet income requirements are eligible to receive subsidized care.

first five childcare program:this program provides childcare services to infants and toddlers from ages zero to three years. This program is funded by a grant from the riverside county children and families commission.

california department of education child care program:this program serves school-age children and is funded by a school-age grant from the california dept. Of education(cde). This program offers before and after-school care in a nurturing and educational environment. Families that meet cde's income requirements are eligible to receive subsidized childcare services. For all three programs, the center terminated all activities at the beginning of the year.
