Mission: The USCC's work includes encouraging, supporting and performing compost related research, promoting best management practices, establishing standards, educating professionals and the public about the benefits of composting and compost utilization, enhancing compost product quality and developing training materials for composters and markets for compost.

Features include area storefront for members to advertise their services and products; a member's only page where you can find the current membership list and the latest rfp's, bids, and grants available for new projects; an events page where you are able to find information on events sponsored by the council.
publications: the directory puts people in touch with those entities that can offer services, products, and advice about the rapidly expanding composting industry in the united states.
education: a variety of compost operator training courses are offered periodically at many locations across the country.
