Nonprofit Overview
Mission: "With great hope, strong faith, and the availability of necessary supports and programs, our children, families, and community will thrive, achieve, and succeed.”
Results: Through collaborative partnerships, we have recruited several nonprofit agencies and community groups to "set up shop" in our gigantic historic school building! These partners include YouthWorks International, Westmoreland Community Action, Southwestern PA Human Services, The Mon Valley Initiative, Communities That Care, Angela's Angels, and Mon Valley Actors and Artists. Programs include a family reunification program, free income tax preparation, resume and job preparation, adult basic computer skills, youth leadership programming, career wardrobe distribution, Monday morning coffee house, and student lounge.
Target demographics: Low income children, adults and families in the Mid-Mon Valley Region of Southwestern PA.
