Mission: The mission of JSEC is to enable Jewish children with special educational needs to attend and succeed in a day school environment. We believe that all children learn differently and that many need additional academic resources to succeed. Day school students who need additional support often must leave their schools for offsite special education services. Even worse, some students are excluded from a day school experience because they need more than what their local day school can offer. JSEC strives to fulfill its mission by supporting the teachers, families and communities who nourish these students, and by providing high-quality and individualized special education services, so that each student may grow academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
