This nonprofit is phenomenal because while it's run by youth, it's really well done. There's so much passion in serving that I've seen in the organizers and the positive energy they give off to their guests makes a difference.
The date is set for next year's Hope Festival, 3/3/2018. This is such an inspirational and well-run community service event to participate in. The fact that it's organized by students is even more impressive.
I look forward to volunteering at this even every year. The students who run this event are so inspiring and so passionate about what they do that it makes me want to get more involved in the community. Keep up the great work!
None of Hopefest's work would be possible without the hundreds of volunteers, businesses, and organizations that serve with us and support us through everything!
This is an awesome non-profit that runs an amazing event - and it makes it even more impressive that it’s run by teenagers
When I saw the faces on the kids' face as they entered the room of toys, I was overwhelmed... as were they! We pour our lives into this, and just seeing people leave a little happier and a little more hopeful makes it all the while.
The Hope Festival continues its tradition of giving to and helping others in 2017. While the team prepares for its biggest and best event yet this winter, the organization continues to have impact across the community and our partner organizations – most recently donating over 2600 pounds of clothing to Value Village in Redmond and, in the process, receiving a $528 donation to Kids Without Borders.

In this time and place of privilege and me-first attitudes it is so refreshing and heart-warming to see so many young people giving of themselves so genuinely and completely for the benefits of others. The time, effort and caring expended in the service of those less fortunate can't help but reassure that there are still good people in this world and that the future of our country is brighter than it sometimes seems.
In addition to the efforts of their one-day (Hope Festival) event, this organization has made great strides over the past year to extend their impact and reach by expanding their efforts into other areas of the community. Examples of this include their Adopt-a-Road and Donuts for Hope activities as well as their various (Flamingo Flocking) fund raising activities clothing drives and partnerships/support with other non-profit organizations.
This is a truly inspiring organization that any community would be grateful and proud to have!
It's exciting to see the Hope Festival team preparing for the next year's big event. I've volunteered over the last three years, and each year the Hope Festival gets better and better, and offers a greater variety of supplies and services to people in need. The commitment and passion of the Hope Festival to serve others remains consistently high! The Hope Festival is an amazing event run by an equally amazing group of high school students!
I was a volunteer at The Hope Festival for the first time this year. I was expecting it to be long and boring, but I was very wrong. I had such an amazing time helping people find the clothes they need in order to keep warm or protect their children. The smiles I saw on faces really changed my perspective on what I have. I think this event is INCREDIBLE and I am totally going to volunteer again next year. The other volunteers were so kind and made others laugh which is so important! See you next year!!!
Bellevue Kiwanis Club volunteered to help at this event. Wow - were we blown away by how positive, organized and passionate this event was run. Can't wait until next year ...
They are entirely student run, and 100% not for profit. They meet the legitimate needs of the community.
They are providing a multitude of wonderful amenities to people who are struggling to do so independently and showing love to them by service. Improve by doing it more than once a year
The hope festival is doing really well at giving back to those who need it and making people feel like they are being looked after.
It is involving a wide range of people helping/serving and reciving food that will help the less fortunate a lot and improve there life. It is a great organization and i would encourage people to do it
The Hopfest does a great job in getting kids in the community to give back to the homeless and low income people
The Hope Festival Organization offers not just much-needed food, clothes and supplies; but more importantly, it offers HOPE to those who may need it most. The Hope Festival is comprised of a group of inspiring teens who are committed to giving their time with the hope of making a positive difference in the lives of others. The Hope Festival is a well-organized and fun event for both the clients and volunteers.
To keep the momentum going after the one-day event, Hope in Motion is busy throughout the year providing goods to those in need at various events (i.e. supplying books to the food bank, providing free donuts at homeless shelters or senior centers, cleaning roadside litter from their recently-acquired Adopt-A-Road, etc.).
The Hope Festival and Hope in Motion continue finding new ways to serve others, and they are a wonderful asset for our community!
Hopefest does a great job at starting early. The nonprofit also does great at looking into a variety of partner organizations and donations. They really care about the people they're serving. Potential areas of growth would include having more opportunities for volunteers to take initiative in finding unique ways to serve the clients.

The Hope Festival is a great event helping those in our community not only through food and clothing donations, but also books and educational games for children that are so often at the bottom of the list for struggling families to provide for their family. They also provide haircuts for adults and children. The group involved putting this event together work very hard each year to assist those in need. I applaud their efforts.
