Mission: The Glass House of Pittsburgh will reach out to women and children at risk with a variety of services that ensures every family the opportunity to develope and grow within a safe, nurturing and positive environment by promoting social support and empowerment. We will provided housing and assistance to battered/homeless women and tbeir children. We are committed to providing care, job resource information, education and support services in a way to motivate the individual to restore self-esteem, hope and independence in a loving and positive environment. Our goal is to put an end to homelessness in the community.
Programs: The Glass House Program has a helpline which is available 24 hours a day. We will assist in providing our clients with immediate assistance and information on safe/temporary shelter, food and clothing. We provide counseling and a harm reduction model and crisis management technique to intervene quickly to stabilize the individual/family to prevent emergencies before they occur.
