As a parents we hoped our children would find a community which would enable them to to learn organically how to fail and succeed safely. We tried many things, but lagging spatial awareness made team sports difficult for our son. Then we discovered The Game Academy's role playing games, and for the first time in years and years of trying, our son has a cohort of friends who are learning to help each other through success and failure while building stories together safely. Collaboration, aligning with others' perspectives and spatial awareness are amazingly built into these games and the kids are pulled with the pivots and turns their teammates add to their collective story. It is incredible to watch and even more fun to participate! Thank you to The Game Academy for providing the space for collaborative social and emotional growth my son and his friends have finally found with you.
