Nonprofit Overview
Mission: We are very excited to introduce you to The Community Book Bank, a new addition to our “Beyond The Bee,” Honey Store. The Community Book Bank is a co-operative effort within our local community providing books from all over the world - books about all of the different customs,cultures, histories around the world, as well as fiction, non-fiction, novels, children’s books and more! We will also provide access to encyclopedias, magazines and newspapers. It’s our intention to help people learn more about the world we live in, understand more about the big global challenges we face and develop into leaders who can help create solutions to those challenges. One of the big issues we face as a global community is the declining population of honey bees. The mission at “Beyond The Bee” is to “Save The Bee”. I help people understand the risks the declining bee population presents and educate them so they know what to do to help increase the number of healthy bees in the world and preserve the world food chain. Some of what I teach: • How grow nectar plants so local bees have the food they need. We teach which plants help. • How to reduce the amount of pesticides used • The best times to harvest honey • How to support companies that support bee research and breeding programs • And many other things related to the preservation of healthy honey bees Since this is a very small business, I’m reaching out to you to ask for whatever assistance you are able to give us: books and other reading materials, public relations support, social media support, – would be most helpful right now.
