My brother first went here as a student and then later came back as a teacher, and I just think it's one of the most interesting non-profit and a good source for the local community. Not only do they teach traditional wooden boat building, but they do workshop classes, community out reach, organic gardening...I only wish I lived closer so I could go to some of the things they offer!

Mission: Apprentice program
Programs: The carpenter's boat shop is a program designed to enable 10 different adult apprentices each year to navigate the rough seas of life's transitions. It does this through the teaching and learning of the craft of wooden boat building, community living, service to the community and self reflection.
