Causes: Community Service Clubs
Mission: To increase self sufficiency and economic security for low income individuals and families in eastern connecticut through a broad spectrum of community based collaborations, promoting community awareness and providing comprehensive, quality services.
Programs: Children's programs: classroom and home based child development and training services for families and their children aged 0-5 (480 clients), sliding scale fee day care for infants - age 10 (786 clients), nutrition education and food supplement to pregnant, post partum, and breastfeeding women and their children under age 5 (6,293 clients).
energy assistance programs: various program components provide emergency fuel/utility assistanct payments for households that are low income and/or which contain an elderly or disabled member (8,779 clients).
eldery services: community volunteer experiences for seniors residing in windham, tolland, and new london counties (140 clients), provision of meal service to elders at congregate sites and delivery of meals to the residences of home-bound elders within windham, tolland, and new london counties (3,475 clients).
