My life had come to a complete wreck and I had no family that would communicate with me, I was in jail again, after 10 years in and out of Juvenal Hall , numerous county jails around the county, and in and out of prison. I had been on Parole and Probation for 21 years total, and had been an IV drug user since I was 13 years old. I had become something unrecognizable to myself, and desperately needed help.
Teen Challenge gave me the help I needed, though it did cost. I had to face some serious issues in my character, emotions, thoughts, and views of right and wrong. This proved to be the hardest thing I had done my whole life, and required a lot of sacrifice and discipline. But while their I met Jesus Christ and My life has never been the same since. In 2007 after completing 1 year in the center in San Francisco I was accepted into the Teen Challenge International ministry Institute, in Lebanon Oregon.
I was trained to teach biblically based classes that are used in the centers across the globe, how to manage money, how to establish boundaries, and many other self improvement classes focused on developing well rounded leaders. I also took all the classes needed to become a Assembly of God Licensed Minister, though I have yet to apply.
It's been 9 years this past May, and I am still doing well, having never returned to my previous life style. Today I am a Executive Director for a center in the Pacific Northwest and, I take joy in the fact that I once did not know Jesus Christ as My saviour, and today my life gives others hope of change through the power of the cross. I get to watch lives change over and over again, and am used in some small way in the process.

Mission: The national organization was first established in 1958 when Rev. David Wilkerson began the work in the slums of New York City. From its beginning Teen Challenge has grown to be one of the most successful programs for dealing with life-controlling issues and it is one of the largest organizations. There are 130 ministry centers in 43 states and Puerto Rico and 66 ministries in other countries. We serve adult men and women in addition to some adolescent program. The median age is mid-twenties. We have over 40 years of results.
