Causes: Education, Parent & Teacher Groups
Mission: To promote the welfare of tahoe lake school, its students, its staff and the physical environment. To raise funds to purchase specific items, services, and fund programs which will enhance the educational experience of the students. To provide avenues of communication between parents, staff, and school/district administrators. To provided parent education in areas of general interest or concern.
Programs: Enrichment assemblies: throughout the year the pto holds between nine and ten enrichment assemblies for all students, including pre-school students, at tahoe lake school
awards: teacher & volunteer appreciation
field trip assistance: all students attend field trips. The pto writes checks to each teacher individually dependant on a calculation per student to support the cost of field trips
spanish enrichment; every student receives 12 week of spanish
teacher programs: these grants are available to any staff member who has a seminar, etc. That they want to attend for further education
artist in residence: all students benefit from these special art projects offered by individual class
water safety: classes available to all students in need of swimming or other water safety training.
playground equipment: purchased or rented - for the benefit of all students
tutoring programs for benefit of all students in need
sponsorship of participation in 'girls on the run' program
classroom supplies - provided to all students as they demonstrate need
instructional aide payments, for the benefit of all students attending classes
health supplies - provided to all students upon request
internet resources - provided to all student upon request
special friends - provide benefits to any students with specific needs
