Mission: To offer personalized service within local communities which help people improve and maintain the quality of their lives. Programs: Supported living services: provides supported community living services to children and adults in their own homes, either by themselves or with roommates. Services can be provided through the home and community based medicaid waivers or through chapter 24. Support services are individualized for each person, however some common areas of support and skill development include: self care, daily living skills, community skills, social skills, communication skills, and medical support.
employment systems: provides community employment services and day programming services to adults with developmental disabilities and similar service needs in iowa city and cedar rapids. Services specialize in the areas of employment, skill development, community supports, social activities and recreational opportunities. Iowa city provides enhanced 1:1 day programming to adults with intellectual disabilities exhibiting challenging behaviors.
family services (fs) : provides services to children and adults to meet a wide variety of behavioral and mental health needs. Family services provides multiple services including individual, group and family therapy, skill building and respite. The services are primarily provided in johnson and linn counties with additional services in iowa, benton, cedar, muscatine and washington counties. In all program areas, family services therapists work on a one-to-one ratio with individual family members or with the entire family, depending on their specific needs. Our services are simultaneously child-focused and systemic in nature.
