Target demographics: landowners, farmers, ranchers, and interested parties to learn more about the value of protecting important lands including open space, working farms and orchards, or habitat.
Direct beneficiaries per year: over 2000 people access the Sutter Buttes and visit the highest peak, North Butte. We also stewarded over 2000 acres of protected lands. Are currently working with landowners and agencies in hopes of preserving 1000s of acres in the region.
Geographic areas served: Sutter Buttes north of Sacramento including Sutter, Colusa and Yuba counties
Programs: land conservation services, stewardship of protected properties and promote education about the importance of agriculture lands throughout the region.
