Mission: Recognizing that the entire LGBTQ community has the right to quality care, our mission is to provide critical life assistance and professional mental health services with an emphasis on economically disadvantaged, marginalized youth, and senior adults in the greater South Florida metropolitan area.

Senior Services – Lisa Peters Since January, the senior department has served 76 clients, 18 of these are ongoing clients. I was an intern in the Department of Transgender Services from January to May 2015. Between being an intern and now as the Director of Transgender Services since September 8th, I have assisted 52 people with their legal name change. 2. I have connected 8 people with access to HRT. 3. Created the Transgender Advisory Council with 6 members. We had our first meeting last week. 4. Have helped 2 clients secure a job. One at a Starbucks in a Target and one at Winn-Dixie. 5. Spoke at Broward College GSA and at NSU University School about my trans experience. 6. Have been trained in The Essentials of Transgender Care and Multi-Dimensional Experience of Group. I was also offered a scholarship to attend the AIDSWatch 2015 conference. Case Management – Gary Hensley Project AIDS Care Clients: 140 clients Active Clients: 110 Clients Discharged: 15 Moved out of County: 12 Deceased: 3 30% increase over last year HOPWA Housing Case management: 376 clients 52% being LGBTQ, 69% Male, 28% Female. We have served 8 transgender individuals this year. Mental Health Services – Katy Yankie Total number of behavioral health clients seen on a sliding fee scale: 136 Nearly 1/3 are transgender. 26 are African-American or biracial, and 32 are Latino/a—combined, more than 1/3 of the behavioral health client base. 71-nearly half- identify as heterosexual 77 identify as male and 56 identify as female. 52 are gay men, and 10 are lesbian.
