This group of individuals works tirelessly to help feral animals in our community and individuals that are trying to help animals that have been abandoned. I can't really explain how big their hearts are. Thank you for all you do Street Paws!
I first met Street Paws in 2014 when looking to add a new family member. I was able to adopt a lovely dog from them that has been a cherished family member ever since. They are a truly wonderful group of people that work to save as many animals as they can.
Street Paws is a wonderful, excellent non- profit that puts animals first and does the hands on job of rescuing, healing and re-homing. My non-profit charity Tails of Joy is happy to financially support them whenever possible to help them continue their great work. They take desperate needy animals off the streets in Georgia and get them healthy, cared for, loved, and adopted into forever homes. Their work on the streets with feral cats is so important as so few communities spare funding for that any more. They are great and deserving of your support and donations.
I found street paws when I went to adopt a second dog. Kristi and her team are amazing. They all work so hard to make the world a better place, with one rescue at a time. They care about helping when it’s not even their rescue. They’ve helped me when I found an abandoned kitten, gave advice and offered help. Please consider donating to such a great cause, these volunteers work tirelessly to raise money and save animals, all on their own time.
So many of the volunteers spend a lot of their own time to try to make StreetPaws successful. They’re a great community of caring individuals!
As a newer volunteer, I am enjoying being able to help my community and Street Paws! From TNRing, to feeding feral cat colonies and fostering, everyone at Street Paws truly has the animals’ best interest in mind and heart ❤️
Benny was found at the dump with a severed tail that needed amputation. Street Paws was swift in their effort and Benny is on her way to her forever home!
Street Paws helps dozens of homeless pets every year and provides unprecedented support for fosters and adopters alike. They fund quality veterinary care, screen potential adopters to ensure a safe home for pets, and offer permanent homes for hard-to-adopt animals. The rescue is a bright spot in pet rescue and fills a much needed gap in the community.
I started as just supporting Street Paws by going to events and donating when possible, as well as sharing through FB & word of mouth. Then I was given the opportunity to foster for them. Of course, I failed and am grateful to have had that opportunity. I now volunteer whenever I am able. We are a family that help each other so we can help animals to the best of our ability. This is the most amazing group of people.
A great organization I'm proud to be a part of.. a team of hard workers and volunteers vowed to take care of homeless animals..thank u to each and everyone committed to this cause..
Street Paws truly is the best example of what a rescue organization should be! They work hard to make sure all animals at least have a foster and then continue to find them a forever home. It is a well-run organization where everyone pitches in to help. Their Spayghetti Dinner each March is absolutely wonderful and I look forward to it each year.
I adopted my girl Sammy through Street Paws. They were amazing. They were very patient at making sure she was a right fit with my other dogs. She has been an amazing member of our family❤️
Amazing animal shelter that really cares for the animals and the community! Can’t praise them enough
We adopted our dog Indy from Street Paws 3 years ago. They were great to work with and we couldn't be happier. She was part of a large litter so they set up video chats with the adopters while the puppies were in foster and kept us up to date on how everything was going until we were able to take her home. We definitely recommend Street Paws to other potential adopters.
I am 72 years old and started volunteering with Street Paws after I met some of the group at a pet adoption event. I have never seen an organization 100% volunteer based run so well! Everyone chips in when and where needed. Our feral colonies in Clayton County are 100% attended by volunteers, 7 days a week, 52 weeks/year. Not only are the cats fed, there are "bins" winterized for the cold weather, and other wildlife such as geese, possums, coyotes, rats - yes, even rats - have enough food as well! We all work together on major fundraisers such as our annual "Spayghetti Dinner", "Pawtoberfest", and pet adoptions at local pet stores. Our new home has surprised us with many unforseen challenges, but I'm amazed at the hard labor volunteers are doing to make the new home a REAL home! If I didn't have some physical health issues right now, I'd be "all in" with all the preparations to get our permanent home ready for so many of Kristi's dreams to come true. I'm proud to be part of Street Paws and will continue to participate in as many events as I physically can handle. Street Paws is the REAL THING!
Adopted a kitten. Excellent experience very sweet and caring provided all medical records. Even let us borrow a carrier to take kitten home as we were not planning on adopting when we saw them in McDonough.
We found our beautiful boy at Street Paws and the entire process was a pleasure! Would absolutely recommend dealing with Kristi again!
This organization is nothing but the best! I have adopted a couple times from them and both times the adoption process was flawless. The ladies do their best to make sure these animals are well taken care of. I will adopt from them again.
I have fostered with Street Paws before and they are awesome! If you have the space in your home and heart to foster, please consider Street Paws!
Street Paws is an absolutely wonderful organization and Kristi puts her heart and soul into helping animals! She allowed me to borrow cat traps for TNR to reduce unwanted litters, taught me how to use them, and was available for advice as well. They help so many animals in the community and I am so thankful that they exist. They work so hard and really make an impact helping animals!
I adopted a precious puppy from Street Paws about 4 years ago. This rescue is operated & run by very caring, animal-loving people. The dedication these rescuers and Kristi Butler the owner of this non-profit to the cause of animals in need is unwavering and very admirable. Please consider donating whatever you are able and supporting Street Paws by adopting through this rescue.
They are such a great group of dedicated volunteers who truly care about every animal. Each person does what they are able for the same goal - saving animals in our county.
Street paws helped me TNR over 30 cats in my apartment complex. The previous year we had kittens everywhere, the following year, we only had one cat with a litter. The stray population was finally under control.

I found this precious kitten but knew I couldn't keep her due to my cat's current health issues. I reached out to Street Paws for help. While they did not have availability when I reached out, they provided information for me to be able to foster the kitten myself while looking for a permanent home. They shared research based articles, advice and encouragement. They even reached out when they had an available foster home. Thankfully I didn't as able to find the perfect home for her where is well loved and thriving. Thankful for the help of Street Paws.
This is a great group of volunteers! They go above and beyond to help the animals on the streets. They feed and water them in several locations daily and get them vet care as well as providing shelter. These animals are fostered until they find their forever homes and the people are checked out well before placement.
Been around Street Paws basically since Kristi started it. Her and the volunteers/group is awesome. Even though I live out of town I try and volunteer and help whenever I can. Thank you for what you do for all these beautiful fur babies. They deserve the best to. I resued Caroline from Street Paw about 7 years ago. Shes my heart along with my other rescue.
Kristi Butler helped me so much, when a sick stray cat came up in my yard and was so helpfully that I became a volunteer with Streetpaws.org. I really enjoy helping with this great rescue group.
Street paws rescue an injured cat. We found her at a empty house and called them. They made arrangements Surgery made her whole again and found her a forever home. This group went above and beyond.
We adopted our Rocky from Street Paws a little over two years ago. They worked with us since we had a dog and two cats. We had a visit, then a sleep over just to make sure. We love the care they gave him and the attention they gave us to make sure we were a perfect fit! Love them for their love of fur babies!
Great organization! They truly advocate for the animals in their care. I felt they truly cared for my Killian before I brought him home. I still trade messages with Ashley sharing stories. We have given money and food to this group to try and aid their efforts. You will not go wrong getting involved with Street Paws!
First let me just say ,Kristi Butler, has been amazing!!! She has not once but twice been there when I needed someone, when I needed help!! I posted a concern on fb and she pointed me in the right direction she’s helped me when I honestly didn’t know what I was going to do… The ppl with street paws are really trying to make a difference in rescuing the animals In need. She has never made me feel obligated for anything she’s never made me uncomfortable about anything… I just want to thank her for all she’s done for me!!!!
We adopted our sweet Luisa puppy from Street Paws in March 2022. I couldn’t be happier with the level of care and professionalism. We were thoroughly interviewed prior to adoption, and from the first interaction I could tell how much they truly care for their rescues. Our puppy was spayed and up to date on vaccinations, and she had even been taught some manners! Luisa immediately became a member of our pack and I couldn’t imagine life without her. I highly recommend Street Paws to add to your family. They are the best!
We were able to rescue a wonderful lab/staffy puppy from Street Paws. He had been well taken care of during his time as a foster pup. This organization made sure we were the right home for our little guy and was very eager to answer any questions we had and then set up a great meet and greet with him! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a pet!
When we decided our family was ready for its first dog, we knew we wanted to adopt an adult dog through a rescue organization. We found Street Paws through a fellow parent at our child’s school. They were very helpful in finding us the right fit for our family. We have had Sadie Grace for 2 years now, and couldn’t imagine life without her as part of our family.
Street paws is an amazing rescue group that has done so much for their community and even outside of their community. They go above and beyond to help anyone that they can with their fur babies. They are truly angels on Earth.
They do a fantastic job! They go out on the streets and feed, water, and provide shelter to strays until they can get them rescued and in a foster home. They provide vet care and excellent care and food. Then they vet people before allowing the animals to be adopted with follow -ups to make sure the animals and families are doing well.
We adopted an 8 month old Tuxedo kitten from Street Paws a little over two years ago. We met Fiona at her foster home and spent time with her to be sure she was a good fit for us. We fell in love right away and after filling out the adoption papers and meeting with two of the staff members we took her home. She has been a delight and the experience with Street Paws was a very positive one. I recommend them to anyone looking to adopt a pet!
Street Paws rescued 10 tiny puppies from a feral pack and one of them is my sweet Mae Mae. She was our first ever foster-fail and we are so thankful to have her!
My family and I are very grateful for the hard work from Street Paws Inc. They gave our girl Pipa a chance, trained her, got her fixed/vaccinated, and allowed us to adopt her. She brightens our family up with her great spirit and we are so thankful to have the opportunity to love her and spoil her every day!
We are so thankful for Street Paws. We lost our beloved little kitty girl in April 2021. We still had two beautiful boys and another little girl, but the house was not the same without our precious BC. Even the other cats were showing signs of grief. We researched adoption and found Street Paws. They helped us add two new bundles of love and joy to our home, Rose and Odie. Now our older cats love to run and play with their younger brother and sister. Street Paws is wonderful, caring, and provides such a service to our community. We are blessed to have them in our community.
Back in 2015 I had some stray cats at my apartment complex that I was taking care of one of them named Thomas had a emergency medical situation I contacted street paws and Kristy came and looked at him and they took him straight to the vet since then he is doing great and was adopted by his foster family. They also got all the other cats and had them fixed and brought back to the complex.
Well it started over 10+ years ago when I was going to the Waffle House and seen this lady feeding cats outside of the restaurant next door. Then 10 years later I seen the same person and approached her and asked her what she was doing. She told me her name Kristi and that she is with Street Paws. Right there I was AMAZED by her dedication to helping the street animals. I help when I can I believe I bring her more than help her. My daughter and I have big hearts for dumped animals. I have two she brought home as a child. It’s funny somehow we find them without even looking. My daughter jokingly calls herself the cat whisperer. She just rescued one 5/6 week old kitten last week dumped at the Walmart parking lot and one last night caught in a down pour of rain hearing it’s cries. She found him/her scared, wet ,cold, shivering and full of fleas. I just can’t walk away, my soul won’t let me. This is frustrating to see people dumping animals so it’s not their problem, but it makes it somebody else's problem., the ones who care. Thank goodness for animal rescues like Street Paws and the people who donate. It is thankless work and hard work physically and emotionally. People who get into to this at first feel they can save all the animals but in reality you can’t and we are heartbroken
Thank you Kristi Butler for all you do, it don’t go unnoticed!!!!
My family and I have fostered and more with Street Paws for 7 years. The group goes above and beyond to give every animal in the rescue the love and care they need when they are brought in. Then when they are ready, families are screened and chosen by finding the best fit for the animal and the family. This makes such a huge difference. The goal is a forever home. We love our Street Paws pack!
We LOVE street paws!!!! We got our first family dog from them and Jennifer was amazing. Of course they deal with feral dogs, so it doesn’t come without it’s challenges, but they offer such a strong support system and we have made good friends with other owners. They are always available if and when we need them, and have truly built a community. Highly recommend for anyone interested in animal rescue
I love Street Paws! They brought my precious Tito and I together. His foster Mom worked closely with me to ensure that Tito was going to get the best home possible. They are a great organization doing awesome work! Thanks you so much Street Paws! We LOVE our little man soooooo much!
We got our baby girl Rayne from street paws…they helped us out by holding on to her for another week or so due to my fathers passing on the day we were supposed to pick her up…they are a really great rescue!
Street Paws is a top notch rescue. Well run, with caring staff and volunteers. They are great about community outreach, and always there to help save an animal.
We have adopted five furbabies from Street Paws. Two dogs and three cats.
From start to finish they have worked with us to find the right fits for our family and to fill our hearts. If we had questions post-adoption they were so helpful in sharing information and best practices.
We added to our family with our adoptions, but feel we gained other members as well in the friends we have made in Street Paws volunteers.
I have volunteered with Street Paws for approx. 3 years as a feeder for our feral cat communities. This area of SP is near and dear to founder, Kristi Butler. She has provided much needed housing for the ferals; vetting when possible and volunteers are out everyday suppling fresh water and food for well over 20+ cats, all of which have names and have become like part of the family to us. There are even been some non-feline visitors occasionally. Over the 3 years I have been volunteering I have known of at least 9 non-ferals that have shown up at the feeding stations and Kristi has provided the needs so they could be placed into loving homes! Many of these precious cats would have not made it this long without the love and compassion of Kristi and her vision for SP.
One day I saw this lady feeding a colony of feral cats behind a fast food restaurant.
10 years later I seen this same woman feeding the same colony. I approached her to get her story. I was thoroughly impressed. The president Kristi Butler is very dedicated to helping these forgotten animals in Clayton and Henry county.
I will be 70 in just a few weeks, am limited in what I can and can't do these days. However, I wanted to get involved and found Street Paws. This is honestly one of the best run volunteer groups I've ever been involved with. The President, Kristi Butler, sacrifices her time and own money many times to help the community with feral colonies, taking on more tasks than any normal human being should. She has a great network of volunteers and fosters. She coordinates catch and release of ferals, manages 4 feral cat colonies in another county and campaigns for donations of food and money. Fosters are badly needed currently as they have rescued over 30 kittens/cats lately and homes are very difficult to find due to overpopulations of kittens everywhere. The rescue teams work non-stop and tirelessly. I see 2000% commitment constantly from members. We still need help financially and volunteer-wise. I cannot recommend any other charity than Street Paws because I know they do what they say and more. Please keep us in your prayers and open up your hearts and pocketbooks to help us! Thank you.
I was introduced to Street Paws by a friend and she 100% believes in Street Paws and all that they do for animals. No animal goes hungry if they can help it. They work long hours to feed hungry animals and to find really good forever homes for all the animals. To do what Street Paws does you have to have a true passion and love for animals. They do not get paid to do all the work that goes in to finding homes for these baby's. Street Paws goes above and beyond to make sure they have a loving forever home. Thank you Street Paws for the love you show God's animals and letting me be apart of it!
These people work tirelessly to help these beautiful animals. Their hearts are bigger than the moon. They spend every ounce of their time dedicating theirselvrs for the cause. To me, God has special rewards for them. Thank you for all y'all do❤️❤️❤️❤️ Hearts of Gold ❣️
I love this rescue. I volunteered to be a foster & was called & asked to pick up a dog at the vet that had his leg amputated. I had constant support with supplies and any concerns we had. I can’t imagine it going any better. I currently foster 2 cats that will probably always be with me. There is never an issue with anything the cats want or need. They are always so supportive and helpful.
I adopted my precious Ollie from Street Paws. Ashley was his foster. She was very responsive & caring. He has been the best little loving, intelligent fur baby. My life would not be the same without him!
Street Paws gave me my best friend! After her previous owner dropped her off at a high-kill shelter when he started dating someone who was allergic to cats, Street Paws saved Ruthie and cared for her in a foster home until I found her on PetFinder. She’s a very shy cat and has some health problems, so she’s not the easiest cat to take on, but I’m so grateful they did and that it brought us together. She is the sweetest, most affectionate cat I’ve ever met and she brings so much joy into my life. Street Paws is an amazing organization that I will always be happy to support however I can.
Our family had the pleasure of working with Street Paws when we adopted our latest family addition. Street Paws is very organized and responsive. You can tell they take their time to thoroughly vet the families they adopt to. Most of all, you can tell our dog was very well taken care of and loved in her foster home before coming home with us, which made the transition so much smoother. I would highly recommend checking out Street Paws if you are looking to adopt a pet!
I got Duke (also known as Jimmy) from street paws a year and 3 months ago. I fell in love with him immediately! He was a sweet dog from the beginning and I knew he would be perfect for me. We brought him home and he had so much personality and loved everyone he met including other dogs! Street paws were amazing during the whole adoption and helped me above and beyond during the adoption process. I will never forget it and I and Duke will forever be thankful to the group for rescuing him!
This small, but powerful rescue is amazing! They have had a huge impact on the feral cat colonies in the area and give these sweet babies a chance at life. Not to mention dogs they’ve saved from the streets. I’ve had the pleasure of adopting two of my furluvs from Street Paws (Thomas (cat) and Joker (dog).
We are truly blessed to have found Street Paws. Our family was ready for a puppy this summer and began the search. I connected with this organization and found the puppy of our dreams. They are so great!
My husband and I adopted Lucy from Street Paws over 3 years ago. She was so well taken care of in her foster home, she wasn't sure she wanted to go with us! But, it was a match made in heaven and we love Lucy SO much! She was up to date on all her shots, on heart worm preventative AND micro-chipped (and THEY transferred the info to my name before I picker her up!)! They were thorough in vetting us because they love their dogs and want them to go to the best homes!
found the sweetest, most well-behaved kittens by way of some of the kindest people! they helped us every step of the way and were very generous with advice and supplies. highly recommend looking here if you want to give a furbaby (or more!) a loving home :)
We have adopted a beautiful girl from Street Paws! We have not only added a sweet baby to our family but have also met new friends. All of the people I came in contact with were caring, knowledgeable and so helpful. I would highly recommend if you are looking to add to your 4 legged family contact Street Paws. They are amazing!
Street Paws goes above and beyond to make sure each animal finds the right fit and that is the best fit for every family also. These babies are family for life. Street paws guess the extra mile to save every animal they take in. I am so proud to be a part of this amazing group and to call these amazing volunteers family.
They help as many animals as they can that are on the street starving and without a home. They are a great group of people that love animals.
Street Paws is composed of an extremely dedicated group of volunteers. They don't say no to the hard cases and they don't give up!
Volunteering with Street Paws has been wonderful. As a foster parent, they supply everything needed for the dogs I have cared for. Street Paws doesn't only take in the cute little puppies, they also take on the hard cases. This is a great organization. If anyone is considering volunteering I highly recommend them.
These people are so wonderful they are always holding events and trying new ways to help get animals noticed and placed in forever homes.
Absolutely amazing organization and part of my community. Before ever becoming a nonprofit, I witnessed each and every one selflessly dedicating themselves and their time and own resources in all hours of the day or night in all conditions and against all odds to try and save as many animals as they could. They do this in a greater capacity now. They make great things happen with the support of our community. They will rescue any creature. None is too great or small. They educate our community and continue to amaze me with the lengths that they go to make the world a brighter place for all our furry friends! They are god sent!
