Causes: Philanthropy, Public Foundations
Mission: NeuroScience Foundation is committed to moving minds forward by advancing the process of finding quality treatment options and a cure for neurological diseases such as Stroke, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. The foundation’s goals are to subsidize funding for promising research trials lacking sufficient financial support, educate a network of physicians to participate in clinical research and promote a fundamental change to how research is conducted.
Target demographics: The Star Neuroscience to increase disease treatment options by building awareness of and improving access to medical research within our own communities.
Geographic areas served: Metro Atlanta
Programs: • Coffee and Conversations. Quarterly community-based education featuring local medical professionals that discuss symptoms, treatments and the latest medical research and breakthroughs. • Networking with a Purpose. An opportunity to meet medical professionals and business people specifically and actively involved in the healthcare industry. • Cure Launcher. Star’s partner service which helps in identifying locally-based clinical trials that could offer additional treatment options for their disease.
