Causes: Health, Patient & Family Support
Mission: Stad's Crabfest is devoted to raising awareness and enhancing the quality of life of those affected by cancer, focusing on the journey from diagnosis through resolution. Central to this mission is an emphasis on building a positive, supportive community.
Results: Stad’s Crabfest holds an annual summer party to promote positive community and raise funds for persons affected by cancer. To date, solely based on donations generated from our annual event, we have made grants exceeding $80,000 to the following New Jersey-based organizations whose own efforts have helped to further our mission: Emanuel Cancer Foundation; Sister Pat's Kids Camp; Liam's Room; Pathways Cooks; Center for Hope; Mary's Place By the Sea; Thomas Glasser Caregivers Center; Camp Kesem; The Elle Foundation; and a cancer exercise training/recovery program led by a certified Cancer Exercise Specialist at the JCC of Central New Jersey.
