Causes: Philanthropy, Private Grantmaking Foundations
Mission: St. Christopher's Foundation for Children (SCFC) supports the health and well-being of children in the community served by St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children through programs in the areas of care, outreach, research and education.
Results: More than 25,000 boxes of fruit and vegetables have been distributed to the families who need it most via our Farm to Families Initiative. We've also provided comprehensive dental health care to more than 13,500 children from the age of 1 through 17, free of charge, via our Community Oral Health Initiative.

Programs: We offer two main programs: our Farm to Families Initiative and our Community Oral Health Initiative. Our Farm to Families Initiative works with community-based organizations to address availability and affordability of fresh food in North Philadelphia. Our Community Oral Health Initiative improves the oral health of children and families in North Philadelphia through community awareness and partnerships, education, early intervention and treatment.
