Mission: Founded in 1983 as a joint venture between the former Southern Chester County Medical Center, the community and the local volunteer ambulance services, SCCEMS provides valuable, lifesaving advanced life support services to 240 sqaure mile of Chester County.
Programs: SCCEMS operates 2 Pennsylvania licensed advanced life support units operating 24/7 from stations in Jennersville and New Garden. These units provide primary 9-1-1 paramedic services for 240 sq miles encompassing 18 municipalities. In 2003, SCCEMS units were dispatched to over 2,500 calls for assistance.
