Nonprofit Overview
Mission: So Chabe was created to address the academic needs of children in Zambia. It was created to address the need to provide a solid educational foundation for children in underprivileged areas of Zambia and therefore be able to offer opportunities for these children after high school. The goal is for the students to be prepared academically and to go to a 4 year college which then enables them to support themselves, families and be productive members of society. Tennis training is being used as a positive influence in the lives of the youth. Local trained tennis professionals are committed to mentoring and being positive role models in these children’s lives. The tennis pros have already committed to teaching tennis techniques on a daily basis after school. Tennis training encourages good work ethic and self-discipline. Tennis provides a safe haven for these children, as many would be involved in less constructive activies.
Results: We have graduated our first student with honors. We also had our model students in the middle of their university classes. So Chabe
