Mission: For more than 140 years, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Baden have dedicated their lives and service to God and our dear neighbors in need. Our Motherhouse, which is located on 88 acres in Baden, Pa, is home to 39 of our retired Sisters, many of whom have nurtured the academic and faith foundation of thousands of children. Our 212 Sisters today respond to the deepening needs of God''s people, serving in education, health care, social services, spirituality and hospitality. Our presence in 69 locations in western Pennsylvania and in 17 states gives visible and vibrant testament to our 140-year-old legacy of love and care. Our Sisters can be found in law firms, colleges, hospitals, prisons, missions, and community centers - wherever people with unmet needs can be found ... wherever God calls us.
Programs:
The Sisters of St. Joseph serve in a variety of programs and ministries in the community and on the Motherhouse campus. Campus ministries include Villa St. Joseph - a sponsored ministry for skilled and long-term care, Girls Hope - a partnered ministry for academically talented girls in need of a home-like setting and the St. Joseph Spirituality Center which offers programs from September to June.
