This shelter is small, very old and just short of falling down. What this shelter is doing is just down right remarkable. We do not receive any funding from any group, nor do we receive very if any grants. We survive on donations and the proceeds from our to thrift stores. We in many ways are right up there with the bigger shelters in our adoptions and health care. The staff goes the extra mile for the animals. We make sure that every need is met and that they are loved. Every animal that comes though the doors is met with such a deep caring for their well being. Our sole purpose is to help them find their forever homes. The shelters motto if you will , is to prevent pet overpopulation, protect, shelter and place animals in need. This is the best place I have ever worked
my wife and I give a lot of time and energy to this great but overworked humane society. Their volunteers and paid staff are terrific and the paid staff are way overworked but step up to the plate day after day after day. They have taken over functions the government used to perform and quit doing do to budgetary restrictions, so things are even tougher of late. These guys deserve all the help we can give them.
