Simply Hygiene serves the Greater Wichita Area in a very impactful way. The organization gives dignity back to those in need by providing hygiene products that families would otherwise go without. Simply Hygiene is constantly asking the question what more can we do by adding a new partner to assist or a new product that families need. As you volunteer your time, you feel the impact you are making in the community. Simply Hygiene truly has a heart for the Wichita community! They have an excellent team who works hard to empower and support volunteers and who goes above and beyond to serve the schools and organizations they partner with. As a volunteer myself, I have loved my time sorting items and picking up barrels. They make it easy to volunteer, and you really feel like you're making an impact!
My church held a donation drive for Simply Hygiene last year and many church members enthusiastically volunteer for them. What a well-run and generous organization with a heart for overlooked people. They provide for human dignity without stigmatizing. We will happily be supporting them again this year.

I have gotten to experience firsthand just how hard the team at Simply Hygiene works on a daily basis. The people at Simply Hygiene work endlessly to make sure they can provide hygiene products to as many people as possible. They believe in their mission and care about the work they do. Through this care they have been able to bring in tons of products and volunteers to supply to people in need. If you have the opportunity to volunteer or donate, I will highly recommend doing so.

Simply Hygiene is a great, local non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people with essential hygiene products - such as soap, laundry detergent, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, feminine hygiene - that promote health and hope.
Formed in 2019, we have distributed over 5 million products and currently serve 173 schools and 78 organizations in the Greater Wichita area. With the need for hygiene essentials continuing to grow in our community we constantly look for ways to improve and expand our support.
We have been very, very fortunate to have strong support from local businesses who support barrel product drives and donate bulk products, volunteers to help package and distribute products and individual donors who contribute financially. We also have a small, dedicated staff who constantly work hard to understand and meet local hygiene needs.

Giving the Basics effectively meets an important need in our community with compassion and professionalism. As a donor, I'm impressed with their good stewardship of funds. As a volunteer I'm impressed with their organization and efficiency-- they make the most of every volunteer hour! It's easy, rewarding, and fun to help with order-filling and distribution. GTB also excels at its specific focus (providing personal hygiene products), while partnering really well with other area non-profits. As a result, gaps are filled, clients are well-served, but services are not unnecessarily duplicated. I'm so grateful that Giving the Basics is serving our community!

Simply Hygiene does a wonderful job coming alongside local schools and organizations to provide much needed hygiene essentials so that they can focus on other areas of need.
I was first introduced to Giving the Basic Wichita a few years ago through a Dignity Drive. Shortly after, I begun participating in group volunteer opportunities with my company. When I learned hygiene products weren't covered by other government assistance programs, I was shocked! The amazing leadership at GTB Wichita have worked hard over the years to expand partnerships and outreach to ensure members of the Wichita and surrounding communities have access these essential products. My daughter and I have now been volunteering at the monthly community nights for a couple years and always look forward to seeing our fellow volunteers, new and returning!
The typical day for most people starts with a shower, brushing your teeth, and getting ready for the day. Basic hygiene items such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, deodorant, are all items the typical person takes advantage of. Until I met the GTB team, I had no clue how many households went without the basic needs. This organization not only helps people in need, but restores humanity right here in Wichita. The ladies who work here are nothing short of amazing. I love being able to partner and volunteer with them every year.
Giving the Basics Wichita is filling a significant need for the Greater Wichita Community. Volunteering is easy and extremely organized. Donating items, time, or money directly serves those in need. The organizations that benefit from GTB Wichita are extremely satisfied and many of them find ways to help/support GTB Wichita too!
I fell in love with GTB once I learned their mission. So many people don't think about not having access to the basic hygiene items that keep a person clean and feeling good about themselves. This group of volunteers gets this.
Personal hygiene, while often overlooked as a necessity, is a fundamental aspect of daily life. Unfortunately, for those who have limited access to basic hygiene resources, it is a pressing concern. In recognition of this need, Giving the Basics - Wichita works tirelessly to provide essential products such as soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes and paste, feminine hygiene, and toothbrushes to individuals and families in need, these organizations underscore the power of community action and collective goodwill. Supporting Giving The Basics - Wichita not only helps to provide basic items, but it also fosters a sense of pride throughout our community. I am proud to support Giving The Basic in making all the difference for those who would otherwise struggle to maintain hygiene and dignity, and it is truly gratifying to be a small part of this effort.
I have volunteered several times at GTB. I was shocked and surprised to learn that the items available thru GTB were not provided for by the government assistance that folks are able to get. The Warehouse is kept clean and very well organized. Kelli and company do a great job to see that we know how the personal hygiene products help the food pantries, women's shelters, and other needy folks.
I have volunteered for GTB multiple times. Both Kelli and Megan made me feel very welcome and do a fantastic job of explaining the value their services provide those in need. Working as a volunteer at this company is very easy and rewarding. There is so much to do for all age groups (at least those 6 years old and up). I look forward to volunteering again!
I'm disabled and live on a very low fixed income, I have no means of transportation, I have no way of getting groceries or any of the basic nessities that I need and there isn't anyone here that I can get to help me, my beautiful daughter rides a bike everyday to work just to keep a roof over my head and we are behind on bills and I am very sick and dying, I am on hospice and I wish I could take some of the stress off my daughter
This is such a wonderful nonprofit that does so much good for the Wichita community. We love volunteering there!
As a non-profit, we provide Foster Care Housing for 25 teens (13 Boys/12 Girls), ages 16-23 in our 7 Transitional Living Homes. The products and support provided by "Giving the Basics Wichita, Inc." are invaluable to Our Non-Profit, It Takes A Village, Inc. as we have been challenged with COVID-19 and other resource shortages. The team at GTB is "second to none" and they take a personal interest in assisting those organizations and individuals who are most vulnerable. GTB in many instances can be the difference in organizational sustainability, or limiting and possibly ending services to a population in dire need. GTB fills a void, where unfortunately the resources are limited. In a nutshell....GTB WORKS!!
Giving the Basics Wichita, Inc. gave me a whole new appreciation for how the little things we take for granted in life may be a huge thing for those not so fortunate. As the need went from kids in our local school systems to other non-profit organizations that help not only kids but adults in need, my wife and I saw first hand the overwhelming need Giving the Basics provides to many non-profit organizations when we helped organize products in the warehouse for pick-up. Project Access is a nonprofit program that coordinates donated care for low income, uninsured residence of Sedgwick County. Giving the Basics offers our patients the opportunity to receive personal hygiene products that they might otherwise go without due to limited income. Something as small as a razor or a toothbrush can really make a difference in someone's life. Project Access is beyond grateful for Giving the Basics!
GTB is amazing!! Each time I spend a morning volunteering in the warehouse, I am overwhelmed by the amount of love and compassion that goes into making this organization successful! The people on the giving end have the biggest, most sincere hearts, and those on the receiving end are bursting with gratitude! It’s a gift to me to get to be a part of something that is changing the lives of so many!!❤️

There are many locations that we distribute to around the greater Wichita area, so I am sure one of them will be quite close. Please send us an email and we will find a way to help.
