Mission: Sierra Service Project provides teenagers and young adults with the opportunity to do meaningful service through a ministry of home building and repair each summer on several Native American reservations located in the West and Southwest, in South Los Angeles and in Honduras. Every summer over 1700 high school youth and 250 adult volunteers upgrade approximately 100 Indian homes. Each site hosts 350 volunteers over a six-week period. SSP actively seeks to build bridges between our host's culture and that of the participants. SSP also run a week-long service experiences for young adults and provides intense leadership development experiences for our summer staff of 42.
