I am a Police officer that was assigned to work closely with Search One while they trained on our wooded areas of town. Over the years I changed from liaison to member. After seeing how professional the/my team worked, and how they not only took me in and made me feel part of the team prior to becoming a member, they let me apply and the board gave me the thumbs up to start training.

Once thing I want to point out is the health and welfare of the members and
k9’s. Mr Lake (President) made it very well known when I applied that health and safety was one of the number one things that was high on his list and that applies for both dog and handler. No one is over worked, and every dog is routinely checked during training and during missions.

The training is intense and everyone on the team is able to train me due to the fact that everyone is proficient in all areas instead of just focusing on one thing. When family issues came up, they not only supported me in family first, they also stepped up to help in any way they could to get me through my issues. When Search One stated they would support me, not only was that the case, but I felt as if they were my second family.

I am proud to be a member of Search One. A team comprised of a board and knowledgeable team members. But my second family and we’ll respected by numerous agencies which is proven by the amount of calls Search One is called out on.

Chris, Search One Member since 2022. Working with them in a Police capacity. since 2018.
