Causes: Education
Mission: To support programs, resources and enrichment that can make a positive difference in the newtown school community. The sandy hook school foundation takes a broad view of the school community's long term academic, mental and physical health needs.
Programs: Staff services - a series of professional development workshops for staff on how to teach children who have suffered a trauma and staff programs designed to support the physical and mental wellness as part of the recovery process.
student services - after school academic support programs funded at impacted schools and student activity programs to promote physical and emotional wellbeing.
