Mission: The mission of the Tall Pine Safety Resource Center is to provide quality, comprehensive injury prevention educational services for Maine residents. We will accomplish our mission by forming partnerships with local, state and federal agencies who share the common vision of preventing unintentional injuries. The Tall Pine Safety Resource Center is the lead agency for Safe Kids Maine.
Target demographics: The mission of the Tall Pine Safety Resource Center and Safe Kids Maine is to provide quality, comprehensive injury prevention educational services for Maine residents. We will accomplish our mission by forming partnerships with local, state and federal agencies who share the common vision of preventing unintentional injuries.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Over 3,000 parents and caregivers and over 1,000 children.
Geographic areas served: Safe Kids Maine and the Tall Pine Safety Resource Center provides services to the entire state of Maine.
Programs: Tall Pine Safety Resource Center will directly respond to the need for education to increase safety precautions and prevent unintentional injuries. Through online and in person outreach activities, Tall Pine Safety Resource Center will conduct initiatives that will raise awareness and provide valuable tools for parents/caregivers, children, child passenger safety technicians, health professionals, law enforcement officials, fire/EMS departments, schools, state and federal agencies and others who are involved with injury prevention. To enhance the programs that will address the injury risk areas, Tall Pine Safety Resource Center serves as the lead agency for Safe Kids Maine. Safe Kids Maine is among 600 coalitions that are part of Safe Kids Worldwide. Safe Kids’ mission is to prevent unintentional childhood injuries and deaths to children ages 14 and under.
