This groups has been very helpful in finding funding to do some work on my property. I have wanted to do take part in some wildlife friendly agriculture practices and the SRCAF made that possible. Although they were not able to help directly with applying for funds they lined everything up for me and got me started in the right direction, setting meetings with the Tehama County RCD and several funding groups. I am doing a ton of good stuff for the environment on my property and my agriculture operation (orchards) is doing great with a reliable source of water. Thanks.
The SRCAF has been working hard for over ten years to create a cooperative environment for habitat restoration along the Sacramento River that does not adversely effect neighboring landowners or local communities. They have developed a Good Neighbor Policy that restoration groups work by in order to ensure that projects are well thought out and planned and that everyone has a voice in local decisions. They have been helpful in providing technical support to private landowners working on projects that can benefit wildlife as well as agriculture.
