Mission: Our mission is to ensure that older adults in Riverside County have the opportunity to age with dignity, respect and independence. The Foundation strives to ensure that programs and services for the County's older adults, many of whom are under-served, home-bound and vulnerable, keep pace with current and future needs. The Foundation supports, funds and furthers the programs of the Riverside County Office on Aging, and other new and innovative programs that sustain and enhance the quality of life of older adults in Riverside County.

Programs: • Annual Market Gift Card/Nutrition Support Programs: In December, 300 market gift cards were purchased with Community Improvement Development Grants awarded to the Foundation by Riverside County Supervisorial District 2 and District 5 and were delivered to seniors in need at eleven senior centers in those Districts. To reach older adults in the balance of the County, the Foundation partnered with FIND Food Bank to purchase 552 turkey breasts, which along with complimentary holiday food items, were delivered to seniors in need in the greater Coachella Valley. In zip codes selected to cover the remaining areas of the County, the Foundation partnered with the Riverside San Bernardino Feeding America Homebound Emergency Relief Outreach program to purchase and deliver 392 holiday food boxes to seniors in need. • Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program: The Foundation assisted in the solicitation of contributions to the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program annual holiday gift drive and acted as a recipient and pass through for private donations for this program: Gifts for 46 children--toddlers through teens, were purchased and delivered. • Special Requests: Funded urgent individual/family needs and a mutual aid program serving seniors that were forwarded from and vetted by the County Office on Aging and/or a County Board of Supervisor’s staff, not otherwise eligible for County funding.
