I work at another non-profit that works closely with The Rescue Mission because we serve a lot of the same individuals. I also am a Rescue Mission donor and I shop at the Mission's thrift store. This is a wonderful organization. The staff does a great job. You can tell that they really care about the clients they serve. The Rescue Mission truly gives individuals a "hand up" and provides hope for a lot of struggling people. The residents of the Mission are some really sweet individuals who have been through tough times and it warms my heart to witness how the staff and services of the Mission have helped these guys grow, realize their own self-worth, and become productive members of the community. Also, I am an avid thrift store shopper. For all you thrift store shoppers out there, you must check out the Mission Store. Great finds, amazing deals, awesome cause. I especially like the furniture section of The Mission Store -- there are a lot of great items.
The Rescue Mission of Trenton stands as an example of unwavering commitment to helping those in need. Their services go beyond providing shelter and food. They have a holistic approach to addressing the challenges of homelessness and addiction. From warm meals and a safe haven to addiction recovery programs and vocational training, the Rescue Mission offers a comprehensive lifeline for individuals facing adversity. It's an organization that doesn't just offer immediate relief but empowers individuals to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
As a volunteer, I've had the privilege of witnessing the positive impact they have on the community. The organization's desire is to end homelessness. It is a high goal but I believe their approach to the business of restoring dignity and offering a genuine pathway to a better future is the right way to go. The people they serve aren't just clients, they are individuals with stories, dreams, and aspirations. The Rescue Mission recognizes this and endeavors to help them overcome obstacles, creating a brighter future for all.
The Rescue Mission has an unwavering commitment to serving the community. Their tireless efforts have brought light and transformation into the lives of many. They are more than just a shelter, they are a place of hope, healing, and redemption. The Rescue Mission is an invaluable asset to the community, embodying the spirit of compassion and service, and I'm honored to have contributed to their mission.
I have been a Rescue Mission donor and shopper for the past 4 years. When I first learned about the store I was very interested because I am an avid thrift store shopper. My first trip there was truly an eye opening experience. Not only were the bargains hard to beat, but also I got to witness firsthand how my donations would impact the the community in which the Rescue Mission serves. When leaving the store and turning around the block I experienced such mixed emotion that can only be described as heartbreaking and heartwarming all in the same instant......the line of folks waiting for a warm bed and a hot meal was overwhelming. Well, it's been 4 years since my first visit and now I am monthly regular! I choose to donate & shop at the Rescue Mission because I have witnessed first hand the good that they are doing in our community.
So, do yourself and those in desperate need a big favor.....get rid of the stuff around your home that you no longer need. Bring it down to the Rescue Mission and take that trip around the block......They'll be thankful and so will you!
