Mission: RAGofAZ is a 501(C)(3) non-profit, shelterless, all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, evaluation and placement of Golden Retrievers who lost their homes through no fault of their own. Our volunteer network spans the entire State of Arizona and sometimes beyond. We receive no compensation other than the deep satisfaction of knowing that we are saving the lives of these dogs that are uniquely intuitive, patient, eager to please, hilarious clowns, and mostly dear friends. We have been rescuing Golden Retrievers in need and finding new permanent homes for them since 1998. In addition, we spend considerable time and resources educating the general public about the breed, responsible dog ownership and what rescue is.
Results: Rescued over 2,000 Goldens throughout Arizona and internationally.

Programs: Rescue A Golden of Arizona maintains a rescue program for displaced, mistreated or unwanted golden retrievers, to provide vet care, food, and temporary shelter until we locate permanent homes for these dogs. RAGofAZ volunteers found homes for over 50 Golden Retrievers during 2020. The organization finds forever homes for these dogs and provides care for them regardless of age or health conditions.
