Mission: Renew richmond's mission is to grow healthier, more self-empowered communities in the greater richmond region through urban agriculture, education, and advocacy.
Programs: Education programming - renew richmond partnered with george wythe and armstrong high school and g. H. Reid elementary school to develop gardens for the students and community. Over 300 students participated in constructive, educational activities to teach sustainable agriculture, nutrition, and gardening.
community programming - renew has partnered with swansboro baptist church and sabra dipping company to develop gardens on-site. The garden at sabra serves over 500 employees, and the site at swansboro baptist church is available to their church membership. Produce grown at swansboro goes to the church and surrounding community, and sabra grows food for employees and hosts field trips for local students.
